So this started out as nothing more than an experiment. I was reading up on the "boil and pop" method and decided to try it. I took the entire Alien figure apart and saw the Blackheart and decided to see what I could do. So what you see is actually a lot of hours worth of work lol. I had to remove his lower torso and reshape it as well as the pegs on the Aliens legs to make them fit, then reattached. I decided I liked the Alien arms a lot so I took some sculpt and made an area for the arms to attach to Blackheart. I also added the leftover spikes that I had from cutting my Spawn figure apart (you can see it now as my Deadpool) and attached them to Blackheart's back. After the figure was fully put together, I decided to try some new paint methods. I did the entire figure in a purple then tried a wash for the first time with black and water. After a few coats of that, I tried doing a dry brush for the first time as well. Once that was done I decided he needed to have energy emitting from his hand, so I took a piece of plastic I had leftover from another figures packaging and melted it and shaped it into the way that it looks now. After that was done, I painted the energy with about 4 or 5 different colors then added clear coat nail polish to it to give it the shine it has (also did that to the eyes.)
All in all, this guy ended up being tons of fun and I highly HIGHLY suggest to just try new things because you will never know how it will end up. =)
As always my friends, keep doing the amazing work you do and don't forget to have fun with it!
