One day the Guardians of the Universe discovered a rip in the Multiverse. This resulted in the discovery of a new alternate Earth. This Earth, dubbed Earth-616, was home to the Marvel Universe. The Guardians felt that, like any other planet, this one needed its own Green Lantern. There were many powerful and noble heroes on Earth-616 but one stood a cut above the rest.........Captain America.

The year was 1945, and WWII was in full swing. Captain America was stationed in Europe, fighting Nazi scum wherever he found it. During one intense battle with his archnemesis, the Red Skull, Captain America was knocked out. Not realizing their poor timing, the Guardians of the Universe sent the power ring meant for Captain America to Earth. Upon seeing this bizarre space object, the Red Skull grabbed it, putting on the ring. Normally a ring could not work for such an evil man, but the Skull's shear willpower prevailed and he took control of the ring. Gaining incredible cosmic powers (as well as some new muscle) the Red Skull was able to turn the tides of WWII and win the war for the Axis Powers! Now the most powerful being in the Universe, the Red Skull uses his awesome cosmic abilities to rule over all of Earth and spread his hatred of humanity across the Cosmos!

This was a fun figure too make. The idea basically came out of the fact that I wanted a cool Red Skull and that the contest was this month. All I did was repaint the Air Strike(HoM) Wolverine with the classic GL colors. I also added the gun because, well, he's the freaking Red Skull! The head and gun both came from a ML Taskmaster. This was pretty simple to make, but I think that the result is pretty cool.

To me thats easier than doing it small. A trick to use is paint the whole thing black and paint the white where it belongs. That's what I did with the venom I did for his chest and back. Worked much better than doing it the other way around.

yeah but you didn't have to paint yours over that bloody suit TP - great difference
I prefer to draw the nazi symbol and stick it on

I know symbols are a pain to paint, but I would have repainted that swatiska over and over and over again until I got it right, I did it when I did my red skull. that's the only negative point I see.

Gotta admit when I saw this I thought - WTF?
I was prepared to hate this entry
No way would the guardians give the redskull a power ring and was prepared for a really lame explanation
Not only did you have me convinced with your backstory - very good btw
but also your actual custom is darn good too
If Sinestro could wield a green Power ring to commit evil - why not the Red skull?
And since theres already been a marvel cross over of sorts connected to the GLs and superman
why not indeed?
Great work
