Basically this was a 5 minute custom. I took a paper towel and folded it into a small rectangle and dropped a dot of black acrylic onto the top. I rubbed it onto each of the limbs (basically smearing it all over the figure THEN coming back with a clean rectangle and wiping it back off. Within less than a minute which leads me to think they should have just done this when they made the guy. You can read every bit of detailing on the helmet and leg and of course we have lent shadows to all of the undercut areas and added SO MUCH detail to all of this sculpting work, that I may do this to every RoboCop figure I own. May do it with a Blue layer as well. We'll see.
I've got to say though I LOVE the spring loaded holster on this guy. When it closes the lines totally disappear. This feature would have been an awesome surprise to do on the first round of figures (before they fixed that goofy nose) Oh well. I'm glad they came up with a reason to make a new figure.
Also here he is contrasted next to a gleaming new figure.
