"A creature which is created by injecting the T-virus into the genes of a salamander. Similar to a normal amphibian, an Albinoid's body will change as it grows with age. When young, an Albinoid is small in size, but it can grow to over seven feet in a very short time frame (10+ hours). They possess high mobility and are able to discharge electricity. These characteristics are most notable when they are under water in their adult form."

- Umbrella research file

An aquatic B.O.W. (Bio Organic Weapon) that can be encountered in Capcom's 2000 Resident Evil (Biohazard): Code Veronica survival horror video game. Said title was originally created exclusively for the Sega Dreamcast, but it was later ported to other consoles as well.

Both the juvenile and adult Albinoid exhibit the natural ability to generate biochemically-produced, direct-current electricity, which serves as the monster's primary offensive tactic. This discharge of energy manifests itself in the form of bursts of short-ranged lightning-like tendrils. Due to the high-conductivity of water, said attack is significantly more potent when the creature, and its victim, are both immersed in the amphibian's natural element.

Albinoids have an incredibly fast growth rate. Released from stasis, a 46 cm (1.5 ft) long infant rapidly matures into a 2.1 meter (7.0 ft) adult in as little as ten hours! During the course of the game, Claire Redfield accidentally releases several baby Albinoids, and one of them escapes from the MTF (Military Training Facility) Laboratory through a ventilation duct. When her older brother, Chris, arrived on the scene several hours later, that same specimen had already reached its full size.

In order to breath, the amphibious adult Albinoid must keep its skin wet at all times, as such, it cannot stray from its aqueous habitat without risking dehydration and suffocation. The infant Albinoid, on the other hand, is covered with a thick film of mucus, which, aside from making it incredibly slippery, allows it to survive on dry land for several hours. Except in the most hostile of environments, that's generally long enough for it to find a body of water large enough to comfortably accommodate its metamorphosis into an adult.

The in-game boss battle in the Sewage Pool with the adult Albinoid is poorly designed. Because the amphibian cannot leave its watery habitat, and its electrical discharges are short-ranged, all the player has to do is stay safely on the pool's edge and pepper it with projectiles from a distance (the phrase "like shooting fish in a barrel" most definitely applies in this case). Alternatively, if that sounds like too much effort, and a waste of ammunition, you can just hop into the water and wade out into the middle to grab the Eagle Plate item that the Albinoid is guarding (taking a few shocks in the process), and avoid battling the creature altogether. Lame!

Newsprint, white glue, acrylic paint, and gloss nail polish.

6.3 cm (2.5") x 2.0 cm (0.8") [widest point x highest point]
