Lest you believed that my recent trend of customs would stick solely with the properties that had existing toy lines, I am happy to surprise you with my next few submissions. I've been attempting to create movie concept versions of many of the Justice League's heavy hitters. First, we have the Champion of the Amazons. I'd been looking all over for a suitable base from old Total Justice figures to Xena: Warrior Princess. I came across the Doctor Who Leela figure in a two pack at the comic shop and the inspiration slapped me in the back of the head. This figure is mostly a repaint with some clever accessorizing. The tiara and shin armor come from a LOTR Boromir. (The tiara was a trimmed chunk of armor.) The lasso on her belt is from a DCU Donna Troy. The "W" chest plate is a repainted chunk that I dremmel sliced off of the old TJ Wonder Woman. The gauntlets were pulled from a Batman Begins figure with the fins removed and then repainted. You can't really see it from these pictures, but she also has a chain-mail cape on her back, courtesy of a Xena figure. And, finally, the sword and studded strips were taken from a Doctor Who Roman Auton. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the way she came out, and she fits in nicely with the 5 inch Mattel figures. Thanks for looking.
