Head: Ghost Rider ROML
I never made a zombie figure before and decided to bite the bullet and try one. I decided on a Death Trooper because I thought it was a cool concept.
I used a dremel to damage the figures armor and hollow the helmet. Ghost Rider's head was modified to fit under it. Lots of drilling, cutting and sanding. Then a lot of paint.
He features a unique sculpt that was done by hand. The helmet is not removable but is damaged to show the zombie's lower face and it allows him to eat. Damage to the armor is present in blaster holes, lightsaber slashes, and the original bite wound to his left arm are all detailed. Other damage is present from bumping around and people fighting him off. So far, nobody even has managed to get off a good headshot.
Paint details were added to highlight the decay, grime, blood and gore that are featured. He sports a hand painted paint job. The figure was painted using only the best Citadel primer, and was hand painted using Citadel, Model Masters, Formula P3 and other high quality paints. There is a ton of detail to the sculpt so repainting, dry brushing, washes, and advanced paint techniques were done to make the line work pop. Some areas are glossy, some flat and some are metallic. The colors are different shades of blacks, browns, grays, chrome, silver, white and red. A lot of red..
He was given a heavy black wash and small amounts of dry brushing to make the suit look more lived in and not pristine. I always believed in a lived in universe and not one where things look like they came off the assembly line, just like George Lucas envisioned. This trooper looks like it’s been through some battles before and after being contaminated.
He still needed weapons!! He is equipped with the standard stormtrooper rifle, the BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle, that he carries out of habit and muscle memory.
Thanks for looking!
