Pulpy's EMPIRE: Series 1 A New Hope Luke Skywalker

So you may have noticed I'm one of those guys who doesn't have a tons of customs in my portfolio. This series of customs is why. I've always wanted 6 inch Star wars figures, and after a year or two of posting got started on these. I've worked on them on and off between other pieces, never posting when things were completed so that I could do them in series. Then the back series came out and shamed me into finishing these.
With that said, I'm really excited to present my 6 inch Star Wars series:
Pulpy's Empire!
First off is Luke Skywalker as seen in A New Hope

I sewed a shirt and did some paints on it to give it some extra life to it.
He's a ML Bullseye buck with random Buffy sized arms and hands.
From ball joints down, the legs were modified elseworlds' Pilot Green Lantern, cut off and dremilled to to fit Bullseye's ball joints.
The boots and feet are from Chow Yun Fat's Crouching Tiger figure. (a perfect fit!!!)

Saber Handle is a modified Starman staff - I think a tutorial is needed on this one, the staff supports 3 saber handles if cut right, all you have to do is see it in it!
Trooper rifle made from fodder
The head is a modified epic force-*side note*- if you are going to use this head add his above lip and below mouth moles, and it really helps to push the look because they are recognizable features.* I also cut in some extra hair detail.
I'm really excited to finally post them, I know they're not perfect, but I've wanted them for so long, and wanted to finish them for so long that I'm really happy with them and I hope you like them! Thanks a lot for checking him out, and...
May the force be with you!

Great Luke! Can I ask where the R2 came from? He looks like a good scale.

Thanks, and sorry for the late reply! The r2 is from a European mcdonalds happy meal toy. I agree with you for scale too, it fits more with the legends stuff more. I gave him a more movie accurate paint job, and put wheels on him. I'm planning on posting him when my c3p0 is complete.

Thanks for the words! I am really happy how this Luke turned out, and it's awesome to hear from you. My next Luke I'll be posting is a Bespin version from Emprie. Some of you might of seen my first version in my yoda post, but I recently took him apart and gave him some upgrades, and I'm really looking forward to posting him too.
I've been keeping these guys on my workbench for years, and super excited to share them, so again, thank you for sharing your thoughts on my stuff!

This series is IMPRESSIVE Bro! Li Mu Bai's lower legs go perfect with this outfit. BTW, how did you sew something so small. That tunic turned out great.

Thanks G! The Li Mu Bai lower legs fit perfectly to the lantern legs I used, plus they have an awesome ball joint for the feet for awesome poseability right?!
As for the sewing, I have to admit my wife helped me a lot, and I screwed up three other versions before I got this, but I do have a piece of advice for hand sewing this small. close and small seams, and never pull the needle fully through. Get a bunch a seams continuously on the needle, and when it gets full, almost pull it through pulling through most of the new seams you just made, and then line up a bunch more seams on the needle again, and repeat.
Did that make sense? I hope so.
