Venom (McFarlane Style V2) (Spider-Man) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:14347
Name:Venom (McFarlane Style V2)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Spider-Man
Date Added:April 28, 2009
Base Figure:Sinister Six Box Set Venom
Height:6.00 inches
This was another attempt to try and capture McFarlane's style of Venom. This is a sinister six box set Venom with a modified head.
I felt like a toy dentist working on this.. LOL I removed the original teeth, and carved out the mouth. Sanded that down and using fixit, I sculpted Venom some new choppers. From what I could tell McFarlane initially didn't draw the Venom with the crazy wacked out lower jaw we see so much of today. It was a bit more subtle.
Comments and feedback welcome.

I know this comment is way late, but if it's worth
anything to you, I thought I would add my 2-cents.

I think it looks fantastic. I like what you did with it.

Sweet custom. I love the McFarlane better than the alien psycho they try to pass off as venom now a days. The way Mark Baglely also drew him when Spiderman Venom and Carnage all fought. totally the best. Great.

this is one of the best venoms going today. looks amazing. I thought this was a straight custom made from Sabretooth's body.

Good Job. I too like Venom this way. I like the old Venom where someone could identify that there is a human underneath him. Today he look more monsterous and distorted...Boo! Great figure, I need to make one of these.

This is the version of Venom I prefer too. He's not as weird looking as the newer takes on him.

Looks great man, this is the look that made me a Venom fan, I hate the crazy underbite version. well done again buddy

Excellent work! I agree that the understated, smaller-jaw Venom looks better than the whacked-out, huge underbite that became more popular. Of course, we all know how McFarlane loves them underbites, Violator and his brothers are all the proof you'll ever need of that . . .

I like the resculpted head. I prefer the Mcfarlane venom to the newer ones.
