Custom #:27640

Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Resident Evil
Date Added:February 18, 2011
Base Figure:Various (See Description)
Height:7.25 inches
Here's William Birkin in his first of many transformations. Actually, my favorite version of all his mutations. I did my best to make him look like a normal guy, with an exploding, mutating right side of his body. The arm is actually sculpted to look like the Toy Biz one, but I made it a bit smaller to go with the smaller frame. There has been a few looks for this particular version of Willy B, from the original RE2, to Degeneration, to Darkside Chronicles, so I just took what I liked best from each of them. Lotta sculpting with Apoxie Sculpt and epoxy putty on this fella, but he's finally done. Let me know what you think.

Head: ML Ronan
Right Arm: Random arm sculpted over entirely with a TB Birkin eyeball jammed in
left arm: Rocky- Mick
Torso: SOTA Sagat sculpted and dremeled to hell
Lower Body: MS Movie Origins Logan
Feet: wrestler feet, maybe

Agreed, There was always something cool about a him relying on the rusty pipe that I thought was creative. As a RE creature you always expect them to have big claws. I know he eventually got them, but it was still a refreshing change of pace. Thanks for the comment bud!
Wow, I always thought my painting was the worst thing about my customs, so that is a huge compliment. Thanks man.
Thanks for the compliments and taking the time to comment guys!
Thanks Shinobitron! dammit, I knew I spelled Ronin wrong. I took a guess, but at least I tried.
Thank you sir. I thought about it, but decided if I did, I would do 3 other characters.
I always try to aim for realistic. I stick as close as I can to realistic without swaying too far from the source material. For things like the giant mutated arm, that you don't see in the real world, I rely on concept art. Willy here isn't a very good example I'm afraid. I got so frustrated eliminating the paintrub on him (which I finally did! yay!), that by the end, his overall paintjob suffered from my laziness. I know it sounds like I am making excuses (which I guess I am) but these pictures suck as well, I just wanted to hurry up and take pics and post him so I could move onto the next thing.

This is insane, he looks factory made and great paintjob, but his paintjob looks very different, I have a question, have your customs of resident evil a realistic paintjob style like Neca or a more cartoon style like Marvel legends or they are more like sota street fighter line? I can't figure out that in the pics.

Awesome RE Birkin! If you had chosen to submit it to the March Capcomical contest, I'm sure it would have done very well in the voting.
