SUBJECT: Odo SPECIES: Shape-Shifter RANK: Chief Security Officer ORIGIN: Unknown: possibly from Gamma Quadrant NATURAL FORM: Gelantinous mass PREFERRED STARFLEET FORM: Humanoid PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT: Bajoran Law Enforcement Officer while under Cardassian Rule.
SERVICE RECORD: Odo. Currently Chief Security Officer for Deep Space Nine. Little is known of Odo and his species. He remains a feisty and mysterious member of Deep Space Nine's crew. Odo first cam in contact with the Bajorans. He was rescued alone from his craft and lived with the Bajorans, eventually assisting in securing order on Deep Space Nine following Cardassian rule.
As a shape-shifter - capable of transforming form liquid to humanoid to inanimate solids - Odo befriended the Bajorans - and then Starfleet - with his curious nature and eccentric sense of humor. Realizing the need to integrate into the Bajoran environment, Odo assumed his current humanoid form, but has been incapable of perfecting his seemingly "unfinished" appearance. He can maintain the humanoid shape for approximately sixteen hours at one time. Depending on his energy consumption as a humanoid, Odo's rejuvenation process requires five to ten hours of life-exposure as a liquid substance. On Deep Space Nine, Odo provides security by asserting justice over law. He has gone on record declaring that "Laws change, but justice is justice". Deep Space Nine's Commander Sisko has issued formal warnings to Odo not to take the law into his own hands.
STATION NOTE: Chief Security Officer Odo's main service to Deep Space Nine is patrolling the Promenade and maintaining order throughout the station.
Deep Space Nine Gear includes: * Bajoran Padd * Deep Space Nine Monitor * Bajoran Tricorder * Bucket Sleeping Chamber * Bajoran Action Base
