Besides the Insecticon group formed by Barrage, Bombshell, Chop Shop, Kickback, Shrapnel, etc, there also are hordes of merciless Insecticons who declare allegiance only to the aforementioned group. They possess a powerful arsenal of Energon weapons in both robot and insect mode. Their infamous battle tactics are feared by both Autobots and Decepticons alike, though few of their opponents have survived to speak of them. Their enemies are advised to avoid the swarm of Insecticons.
