After making his debut as a singles wrestler, Chase Stevens joined forces with Cassidy O'Reilly to form the tag team known as the Hot Shots in USA Championship Wrestling. The duo made their first appearance in the NWA TNA promotion during its fourth pay-per-view event and swiftly established themselves as a regular presence in the tag team division. However, after nine months of teaming together, the Hot Shots decided to part ways, and Chase Stevens subsequently partnered with Andy Douglas to form a new team called the Naturals.
In late 2003, the Naturals began to regularly compete on NWA TNA Xplosion and soon made their way to TNA Impact, which had recently debuted. On July 7th, 2004, the Naturals achieved a significant victory by defeating America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) to win the NWA TNA Tag Team Championship. Holding the titles for a span of 63 days, they found themselves embroiled in a feud involving America's Most Wanted and Triple X (Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper). Ultimately, the Naturals lost the championships to a team comprised of Chris Harris and Elix Skipper, and gradually, they were phased out of the ongoing rivalry as America's Most Wanted and Triple X continued their own feud.
In early 2005, the Naturals aligned themselves with Chris Candido, who assumed the roles of their manager, mentor, and occasional in-ring partner. Unfortunately, Candido suffered a legitimate injury during a match at the Lockdown pay-per-view event on April 24th, 2005. Just two days later, on April 26th, the Naturals captured the tag team championships for a second time. However, their triumph was overshadowed by the passing of Chris Candido due to complications arising from his in-ring injury.
Following Candido's untimely death, the Naturals garnered a significant fan following and found themselves engaged in a feud with the Canadian faction known as Team Canada. This rivalry persisted for several months, with the Naturals emerging victorious. Subsequently, they renewed their feud with America's Most Wanted and dropped the titles on an episode of Impact just prior to the Bound for Glory pay-per-view event. Despite having a rematch at Bound for Glory, the Naturals were thwarted by outside interference from Gail Kim, the manager of AMW. The team continued to compete in TNA until May 10th, 2007, when both members were released from their contracts.
