Daffney appeared in WCW as a mentally deranged fan of David Flair and eventually became his manager and on screen girlfriend. She also managed Crowbar and eventually was involved in a Cruiser Weight Championship match between her, Crowbar and Chris Candido where the Candido lost the title. It was unclear whether Crowbar or Daffney won the title, but in a follow up match between the two, Daffney won and officially became the Cruiser Weight Champion. A few weeks later she lost the title and then found herself in a feud with Miss Hancock over the effections of David Flair.

From 2001 until 2008 Daffney appeared in numerous promotions, and eventually found herself with TNA. In December of 2008, Daffney began to appear regularly on Impact! During this time she dressed and spoke very similar to Sarah Palin and was referred to as the Governor. She interacted with The Beautiful People who were convinced that she was the real deal until Taylor Wilde and Roxxi revealed that it had all been a practical joke. The incensed Beautiful People proceeded to attack Daffney backstage.

This lead to a feud between Daffney and the Beautiful people, that lead to Daffney become a regular member of the Impact roster. In April of 2009, segments of Daffney speaking with her psychiatrist Dr. Stevie began to air. Daffney became involved with Dr. Stevie's other patient, Abyss, which lead to an angle involving Abyss, Raven, Stevie Richards, and Taylor Wilde.
