In some versions of her backstory, Lady Shiva is believed to have been born in a remote village in Asia. From a young age, she showed exceptional talent and natural aptitude for martial arts. Seeking to hone her skills, she embarked on a journey, traveling the world and training with numerous martial arts masters and assassins. Lady Shiva's training and experiences shaped her into one of the most dangerous and skilled fighters in the DC Universe.

Throughout her career, Lady Shiva has crossed paths with several notable characters, particularly those associated with Batman. She has engaged in numerous deadly encounters with Batman himself, often testing his fighting abilities and moral code. Lady Shiva has also clashed with other members of the Batman family, including Batgirl, Robin, and other heroes.
