Aayla Secura was a female Twi'lek Jedi Master who served as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars and was stationed at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as a reserve General for high risk operations. She had received the rank of Jedi Knight at some point before the war when she was a Padawan of the Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos, making her a Jedi General at its onset.
She worked closely along with Commander CC-5052, whom she referred to as Bly, the leader of the 327th Star Corps. In the first few months of the clone war, the up and coming young jedi had been promoted from Knight to Master in recognition of her survival and success in the devastating opening Battle of Geonosis. She oversaw a number of other campaigns throughout the war, including those of Quell, Coruscant, and Felucia.
Secura's talents made her an integral advisor in the Jedi Temple war strategy room, a position held by a select few highly experienced and valued generals and she was often seen attending their meetings.

Towards the end of the war, during the Battle of Felucia, Secura's life was brutally cut short when she was gunned down by her clone troopers after Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine activated Order 66, bringing about the execution of all Jedi throughout the Galaxy commanding clone battalions. Her death was felt by Grand Master Yoda on Kashyyyk, and by Master Depa Billaba and Padawan Caleb Dume on Kaller, who all possessed the gift of force enlightenment. In a twisted way, Aayla's death gave Yoda and Caleb the warning they needed to survive and escape the carnage.
