This vehicle is created in the scale of Mattel's Batman 6 Inch tall line of action figures. It features a two-person cockpit (which two Mattel Batman figures can sit in, not included), a missile launcher, hinging dashboards (that slip over a figure once it is seated in the vehicle), a removable glider that fits onto Mattel Batman figures, turning wheels, a removable passenger seat that turns into a motorbike, and unclipping seat belts. The removable motorbike (pictured with a Robin figure,) has flip-out machine guns. The Batmobile was recalled because it had too many sharp points, and rounded replacement fins were offered free of charge to customers who had already bought the item.

In the DC Comics universe, the Batmobile is Batman's main method of transportation. A classic part of the Dark Knights arsenal, it has been redesigned many times. Past Batmobiles are displayed in Batman's base of operations, the Batcave.
