In the land of Middle - Earth the legend tells of the Dark Lord Sauron and the One Ring of Power threating to destroy the world and enslave it in darkness never seen before. Men, elves, hobbits, dwarfs..., none can escape all their faith is bound to this one Doom. Found by the hobbit Bilbo in Gollum's cave, the One Ring awoken by the Shadow's call tends above all else to return to its Master. The faith of all is in the hands of the fellowship of the ring, particullary Frodo Baggins and his quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged and the only place where it can be unmade.
