Yo! I posted photos of this custom here and on the Fwoosh.

Thanks for appreciating my work! π

Thank you so much!
Re: the red lining - I saw it as an opportunity to keep the lines straight AND prevent the pattern from looking disjointed/broken when I move the butterfly joints. Tuesday, February 25, 2020

Yup, I think so. The Spidey in the upcoming vintage line has even better torso articulation though (balljoint + ab crunch), so you might want to wait for that instead if you're looking for a classic Spidey.

Thank you! I really want to make more - I just wish these things weren't so dang expensive!

Thanks for appreciating my work!

"Spider-Man pointed first! Obviously!" πππ

Thank you so much!
I just had to do something about the fact that no toy company has really done this guy justice yet.
Agreed, it does! Might actually make more using this base body.

Thanks! Yes, I wanted to make the MAFEX and ML customs as different from each other as possible (and I figured a comic-style Miguel would look interesting).

Thank you! Yeah, I'm not happy with the ones they've released so far.

Thank you! The MAFEX comic paint Spidey inspired me to work on this.

Thank you!

Thanks! Took a while to figure out how to do it properly, but I'm happy with the results.

Thanks, man!

Thank you!

Thanks, brotha!

THANK YOU!
That's exactly what I was going for!
I appreciate the comment a lot, Spectacular Stephen!
Do you collect 3.75" figures?
Thank you!
Pretty good, actually! The only problem is that the joints tend to get really loose over just a short period of time.

Thanks! This is acrylic paint on spandex. I'm working on version 2 of regular Spidey - Scarlet might be next.

Thank you!

Thank you so much! Yes, it was a bit of a pain

Thank you! I'm working on a second version of this - I'm still not completely happy with my stitching, and I need something decent to go with the Mezco Cap I preordered (until Mezco puts their official version of Spidey up for preorder).

You are correct! This is actually the case with a good number of artists (Larsen's Spidey sometimes even ditches the blue highlights entirely), and was how Spidey was originally intended to look, even during his first few appearances. The decision to make blue the main color instead of black was simply a matter of personal preference trumping source accuracy.

Happy you liked it! ^_^

Thank you!

Thank you very much! Yes, it's what drives me to keep customizing.

Thanks! You FN rock!

Thank you very much! You're right - cloth doesn't always work well in the 1/12 scale. The Mezco guys are doing godly work, which inspired me to try a bit harder.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!
This Spidey was inspired by Mark Bagley's '90s take on the wallcrawler - the inspiration for the Capcom games. Still thinking about taking commissions, since some folks have asked me about it, too. If my second One:12 Collective-inspired project turns out well, I might!
Thank you - glad you liked it!

Thank you!
I used ordinary thread and was just very careful. I didn't want it to look like an off-scale mess, so every time I made an obvious mistake, I'd start over.
Thanks for swinging by!

Thanks!
I used a permanent pigment ink pen. It's branded as Uni Pin, and has a 0.05 mm point.
Thanks, dude!

Thank you!

Thank you!

Thank you! That means a lot to me.
This is my last one, unfortunately.
Thank you!
I got most of them from trades (the Yellow Hornet's been with me for years - split a set with some other collectors a long time ago). I tend to keep leftover parts from earlier projects, too, which leaves me with plenty to work with when I do decide what to work on.Sunday, February 7, 2016

Thanks! I used a sharp knife to etch the lines very carefully.

Hi! If it doesn't get sold locally, it'll be up on eBay by next week. Will update this listing with the link, in case that happens.

Thank you, kind sir!

Thank you! A drawing pen, patience, steady hands, and obsession.
Sunday, November 1, 2015

Thanks! I used a very fine drawing pen. Getting the lines straight was no easy task, unfortunately. Took me half a day to finish the weblines all over his body.

Thank you!
