Spider-Man (Red / Blue)
Marvel Universe - Fury Files (Hasbro) - Wave 1
Rated 0.25 stars by Vash_15
I'm gonna say it flat out. This guy is terrible, the paint is shoddy, the embossed webbing still has plastic shavings, the eyes are too big, the head is too small, and the guy's knee joints are on his shins. Don't be fooled if he looks decent in the package, I wouldn't let you PAY ME to have this figure. I lost his head and never bothered looking for it, he's just that bad, while the articulation is the standard for MU, the figure itself is probably the worst figure to come from the line. For 8 dollars I expect a figure with at least some kind of quality, but the piece of garbage I got when I ripped him out of his box was so bad I wouldn't feed it to a junkyard dog. If you want a Spider-man, get the 6 inch one you'll find right next to the MUs, because if you even THINK about getting this...[See More]
Kashyyyk Trooper
Star Wars - Legacy Collection (Hasbro) - Greatest Hits
Rated 4.50 stars by Vash_15
In Star Wars Battlefront II, Kashyyk was always one of my favorite places, it wasn't because of the beach, or the Wookiees, or the great sniping spots, it was because the Scout Troopers were camo. Scout Troopers are my favorite trooper and this look is just amazing, I think it helps that green in my favorite color. Anyway, this figure has some great articulation going, the only thing it's missing out on it ball jointed legs. It comes with a giant rifle for some reason instead of something he could snipe with. Something I find cool, but not attractive is the fact that his mask flips up. When it's up, he looks like Jango Fett, but when it's down, he looks cool. As you can probably tell, I like it down. This figure has one major problem that plagues it. The paint. It would look fine with...[See More]
Gamora
Marvel Legends - Infinite Series (Hasbro) - Groot Series
Rated 2.50 stars by Vash_15
A;right, so I'm a big fan of Carnage, problem is, not a lot of decent figures have been made of this guy, this kind of falls into that category. While Carnage has a decent sculpt, his paint apps are kind fo sloppy, and while his articulation is standard, it gets kind of weird on his claws. You can move his index finger, his thumb, and all the other figures are attached to one joint, it just seemse kind of weird when trying to pose his guy, which is hard to do. You can't pose him in a cool way at all. In fact, the claws have a way of making him a bit heavy as well. While this Carnage figure may be available is a sotre near you, I'd honestly suggest trying to find a better one on a website. This Carnage isn't what a Carnage figure should be, and it's just not that good. It's not terrible,...[See More]
General Grievous
Star Wars - Legacy Collection (Hasbro) - Blue / White Cards - Saga Legends
Rated 5.00 stars by Vash_15
Well, General Grievous is a pretty cool character who was only in the third film, I say only because I refuse to count the amazingly horrible cartoon interpretations of the Clone Wars. Anyway, I saw this figure once and only once, luckily I had some spare cash so I bought him, smart move, haven't seen him since. He comes with two lightsabers and a gun. He's different from other Grievous figures because inlike most, his arms can snap together and apart so he can have both two ro four arms. His chest plates are flexible and even removable. His sculpt is great, much better than the Episode III Grievous, and his paint apps are of equal talent. I must say though, the only complaint I have about this figure is that he doesn't come with his cape. I don't know why, but he seems to look a lot more...[See More]
Deathstroke (Masked)
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 3
Rated 5.00 stars by Vash_15
So I'm a big Deathstroke fan, I honestly like him better than Deadpool, and feel he should get just as many appearances in comics. When I started collecting figures I arrived to the scene too little too late to get this guy, but I found him at my comic shop one day, and then he was mine. Deathstroke comes with a lot of accesories, a machine gun, a handgun, his staff, and his sword. Let me just say that his sculpt is beyond great, in fact, his sculpt and paint apps are fantastic. Now this is my first DCUC figure and let me say that he has convinced me to buy more if I ever see a character I like. It really takes little to no effort at all to find a cool pose for him, and while I haven't thrown him against a hard wood floor, he has fell and came out unscathed multiple times, so I can safely...[See More]
Lady Deathstrike
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 13 - Onslaught Series
Rated 2.00 stars by Vash_15
I found Lady Deathstrike the other day at my local dollar store. While I'm not a fan of her character, I like Onslaught, and for $5, and the head/upper torso build a figure piece, I couldn't say no, however, I am quite disappointed with Deathstrike's figure. The arms are a bit too long, the articulation is hard to control, due to the fact that her sleeves keep you from seeing where the joints are pointing without effort, and her fingers look...weird. It's really hard to find a decent pose to put her in, and the fact that she's hunched over with such a peaceful look on her face not only looks weird, but from the comic she came with, the peaceful face seems pretty out of character. I think that my least favorite part of this figure is the way it looks aesthetically, it looks good and bad at...[See More]
Colonel America (Zombie)
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 5.00 stars by Vash_15
Occasionally, when the normal mall doesn't meet my needs, I head over to a bigger one, and that bigger mall has a Books-A-Million. I've been going to that Books-A-Million since before I started collecting figures, and whenever I went there, there was a Zombie Colonel America, me being a fan of Marvel Zombies, I gave it a glance or two before walking out, but it was a little too much for me. However, the last time I went before summer, it was on sale for $10 dollars, whipping out my wallet, I found 10 dollars, and 60 cents. Doing the math, I was shocked to find I had exactly enough, and I must say, I am happy with my purchase. Articulation is a plenty on this one, and in addition to being my first Marvel Select figure, it was also my first Captain America figure, so I was flabbergasted by...[See More]
Spider-Man 2099
Spider-Man Origins (Hasbro) - Series 1
Rated 4.50 stars by Vash_15
For some reason, even though the 2099 line has been gone until recently, Spider-man 2099 continues to get action figures. Why the choose him over Spider-man Unlimited I'll never understand, but that doesn't mean I like him any less. Spider-man 2099 is a pretty cool figure, his shiny paitn apps give you kind of an armor feel, but it works well with his look. The cape has rubber rings that go around his arm, so it's better than ones that just clip to his neck. His arm articulation is pretty good, and while it only has limited finger articulation, it's better than nothing. The head isn't ball jointed, which while isn't a problem in posability, swivel necks usually end up with a line arching from one side of the neck, over the head, to the other side of the neck. It isn't easily noticeable,...[See More]
Venom
Transformers - Crossovers (Hasbro) - Wave 1
Rated 1.50 stars by Vash_15
A while back I was on a Transformers kick, but I didn't know who any of them were. When I saw the Marvel Crossovers, I was stoked. me being the symbiote fan I was, I grabbed Venom. Now his vehicle mode is pretty decent and makes sense when you think about his character, a musclebound savage, but his robot mode makes me want to break him, if I couldn't trade him here. His legs are tiny, his arms are long, there's barely any articulation, and transforming him back into his vehicle mode makes me want the car to get into an accident. Try to get over this guy real fast, because after you can't return it anymore, you get furious thinking about how you shelled out the money for this guy. Even if you're a fan he shouldn't be too high on your wants. It gets even worse when you get his Carnage...[See More]
Moon Knight
Marvel Universe - Fury Files (Hasbro) - Wave 4
Rated 4.75 stars by Vash_15
Moon KNight is a very obscure character, but if you know who he is he's probably high on your list of favorites, similar to Deadpool in status but not character wise. Interestingly enough, he's a man who doesn't get very many action figures, he had a 10 inch Marvel Universe figure (but who didn't) a Marvel Legends figure, and an admittedly ugly Marvel Select figure, so needless to say when I saw this guy in stores, I had to buy him, knowing I wouldn't get another chance for a while. Moon Knight comes packed with his signature staff and a moonarang (no that's not what they're called, but it's fun to say. Moon Knight is a great figure, probably the best Moon knight figure ever made. Articulation is the standard MU sutff, but unlike most MU stuff, his accesories can be used, well, sort of....[See More]
