Frodo (Light-Up Sting Sword) Lord of the Rings - Trilogy (Toy Biz)I appreciate that this figure was made but I have issues with it. When you see a light up feature on say a Star Wars figure the lightsaber is Chunky but the blade itself that lights up is not so I feel with a larger figure the arm does not need to be this chunky nor the sword, which if you took an invisible prologue Bilbo figures sword could get away with using instead to keep the light up feature. There’s very basics articulation on this figure due to this light up feature and yet his left hand has some movement which makes me wonder why the Shelob Frodo didn’t copy this idea and have his right arm free and not stuck on with a sword unless it was originally intended to have a light up sword as well. The cloak is oversized and heavy and really there’s not much about this figure that’s good besides he headsculpt and I suppose the vest can be removed and given to a different Frodo so you can have a jacketless Frodo as he is towards he half way point of the two towers. To conclude it’s a nice idea but not executed well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
