Bebop (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7)) Review
Bebop
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Super7) (Super7)The second wave of TMNT Ultimates has been pretty great so far. Leonardo was great, Mutagen Man wasn't super interesting but still neat, and Shredder is my favorite. Now time to close things off with the punk warthog, Bebop.

Comparing him to the original Playmates figure, a lot of Bebop's details have been updated. The head's improved greatly, with more pointy ears, a gray earring instead of a yellow one, and a bit less warts. The pink face is replicated here, but there's also a head that doesn't have that paint on it, in case you prefer that look. Moving downward, his back is a bit straighter, and the coat is updated, with a zipper and more visible pins thanks to the paint. The turtle skeleton shoulder pads are sculpted onto the coat instead of the arms. The necklace has a little human skull on it instead of a Foot Soldier-looking head. All the details on the lower half, including the pants stitching, knee brace, and sneakers, are a lot more noticeable thanks to them being painted now. He towers over the rest of the line, being 8" tall, though I'm certain Rocksteady will be the same height.

Moving onto the articulation, the ball-jointed neck has an excellent range of motion, and swapping the heads is easy. There's swivel/hinge joints at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees, swivel waist, tail, thighs, and shins, and rocker/hinge ankles. The joints all move well, though the neck and hips are wobbly, and I would've liked it if he had bicep joints.

Bebop has a pretty low accessory count compared to the other figures in this wave. The drill gun, knife, and trash can lid from the original figure are all included here, along with an unpainted weapons rack and fists that you can swap the gripping hands for. I would've liked an extra pair of hands or a firearm borrowed from the Foot Soldier, however.

Overall, Bebop is a pretty good figure. He's not as good as Leonardo or Shredder, but I like him more than Mutagen Man. The sculpt and paint are great, but some improvements on the articulation and an extra accessory would have boosted his score.
