AT-TE Tank Gunner (Clone Army) Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith (Hasbro)With the release of SW Ep3, fans saw many new figures. A vast majority of these figures turned out to be new clones. Many of these clones were cool new releases, such as Clone Commanders, Special Commanders that were seen in the movie and other clones that weren’t seen but who played behind the scenes roles. As such, this review is going to revolves around one of the behind the scenes guys, the AT-TE Gunner. While not seen in the movie(at least not by me) he played a big part in the fight against the droid forces. The AT-TE Gunner comes at the usual SW height of 3.75 inches tall, the right size to fit in with the other SW figures from the same series and series of the past. He comes with three nifty features/items. One, he comes with a blaster and blaster burst. The blaster fits nicely in either hand and you can push the blaster burst onto the blaster barrel to make it look like he’s firing. I even amped mine up by giving him two blasters so it looks like he’s double firing. He also comes with a removable shoulder pad. The left shoulder pad is attached via a nub on the pad that goes into a hole on his shoulder. The pad can be removed and put back on easily and stays in tightly. The last and best feature in my opinion is a removable helmet. His standard Gunner helmet, much like a troopers helmet but with yellow stripes across the top, can be removed to reveal his head. The helmet fits nicely and adds more freedom to him with a helmet on/off approach. The one complaint I have about him is his head. While he looks like Jango it also looks like he’s buzzed out. His eyes looks funny and are about to roll back into his head while his mouth is in an odd pose. Maybe he’s just sick of being stuck in a tank all day, who knows. Color is pretty good, I don’t have anything to compare him to but he looks cool. He wears the standard Clone trooper black bodysuit with white armor over top. Across his chest plate he is wearing what appears to be black body armor with one black shoulder pad. His helmet is in the clone Ep3 style but with two yellow stripes outlined in grey across the top. His blaster is black while the blaster burst is red. Articulation finally got better at the Ep.3 figures. He sports movement at the head, arms, elbows, wrists, waist, legs, knees and feet. This is WAY more articulation then other SW figures of the past. A cool figure, he adds to any collection and fits in quite well with an troop building set. For all his features and whatnot he gets 4.80 out of 5 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
