One of Spider-Man's most astounding powers is his ability to climb almost any surface unaided by simply pressing his hands and feet against it. Magnetic Spider-Man allows you to simulate this (forgive me!) amazing power by the use of small magnets located in his feet and a magnetized base.

A window with the famed chief editor of the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson, leaning out the window with his phone's receiver stuck to his face by a blob of Spider-Man's webbing can be attached to the bottom right section of the base. You have no idea how hard it is for me not to make a dirty joke right now. It...it is actually causing me physical pain!

The base is essentially a cutout of the side of what is most likely the Daily Bugle building. The bricks look like real bricks and have a nice mix of reds and blacks for shading. It can be hung on a wall through the use of two...hmm...the best way I can describe them is "keyholes", but anyway, you stick two hooks or thumb tacks, whichever is fine, into the keyholes and then hang it up.

The Magnetic Spider-Man itself has a great body and marvelous articulation. I have counted at least twenty-seven points of articulation! That is on par with most Marvel Legends or DC Universe Classics! Spidey's knees and shoulders are double hinged while his waist, forearms, torso, calves, and thighs are swivel joints. His toes, ankles, and fingers are single hinged. Spider-Man's hips, shoulders and neck are swivel hinges I believe the proper term is.

This would be wonderful if the joints were not freakishly loose! He can not stand up on his own at all and will topple over if he is not propped up against something. The good news is that the magnets are fairly strong so he will stick pretty well to the wall.

The head is undoubtedly my favorite Spider-Man head to date with a WTF look on his face with his left eye lens much smaller to make it look like he is giving what ever his is looking at a bizarre stare. This would make it perfect for a Deadpool custom if not for the fact that the webbing is engraved into the toy itself, meaning that you would have some heavy duty paint time, or sanding if you were brave enough.

Over all, Magnetic Spider-Man gets four and a half stars out of five. The head and the mini J. Jonah Jameson bust sell this toy perfectly. I would advise this for die-hard collectors and children alike!
