Henchmen4HireThe only Hercules I know is Kevin Sorbo, that's the Herc I know, that's the Herc I love. I heard of Marvel's Hercules but I knew he wouldn't have the same personality, still, that didn't keep me from buying this figure!
Herc stands about 6.75 inches to the top of his head, and about 7 inches if you count his hair. This dude is massive! When they say he can go toe-to-toe with Thor and Hulk, they aren't kidding! From the few pictures I've seen, this figure looks exactly like it's supposed to, it's mostly very neatly-crafted as well. The picture on the package shows he has dark-brown hair but the actual toy has reddish-brown hair instead and the blue eyes are decently painted. Aside from that, everything looks great! Herc is ripped with veins bulging out of his arms. He has a big hysterical...[

Clint BartonI love this figure! It has a more slender construction than most other ML figures (which totally fits his comic build)and has 38(?) POA. I was really impressed with the legs, having 6 poa knees down. The loose arrows are cool and look gimmicky(like they should) and fit in the quiver snugly. One of the arrows comes with a tiny Ant Man laying on it to re-create the scene on the cover of the included comic. The base is the atomic steed he used in the Thunderbolts comic(he may have used it before, im not sure) and he sits on it without being put in an unrealistic pose. The only problem with this figure i had was getting one. This is, in my veiw, is the best ML figure produced....[

CyclopsMarvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 10 - The Sentinel Series

Henchmen4HireI like the 90's version of the X-Men, probably because I grew up watching the cartoons. I liked how their suits looked like something people would actually wear and not something so outlandish or bland like before. Cyclops was a great, but now a lot of people seem to consider him as a whiny spoiled brat. Where is this coming from? Did the X-Men movies bring this on? I don't know, but I don't hear people talking about Cyclops nearly as much. It's always Wolverine this, and Wolverine that, and that's fine, but what's the point in having an X-Men team if you're just going to focus on one guy?
Cyclops gives the impression of being short because of those large boot-cuffs, but he actually stands 6 1/4 inches tall. He wears the older X-men suit, a simple blue with yellow trim. The mask, gloves,...[

DoomsdayDC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 2

Tom-TomAbout 13 years ago, the badass Doomsday appeared and (long story short) killed Superman. Some people think you can't be a comic fan (even if it's Marvel) without knowing this. Then basically nothing. He has appeared since then, but nothing was as dramatic since, he hasn't re-killed Supes. Oh well.
Doomsday has had only 4 action figures so far: Hasbro made one about 11 years ago, DCD in 2003, this version (DCSH) and another by Mattel last September for JLU. Onto the review!
Sculpt- I don't care what you say, this is not a scaled down figure of DCD's. He has a few differences, but they are not the same! Okay, goosfraba. His main body is made out of hard plastic, while the face (he has a head underneath) and spikes/bones are rubber, for the little ones. His sculpt works pretty well with...[

Henchmen4HireHas there ever been a bad-looking Steel figure? No, never. And this DCSH version is the best so far!
Steel stands 6.5 inches tall, in-scale with the other DCSH figures. I thought this fig would just be a repainted Superman but the muscles are larger and it has sculpted armor on the boots and some bolts on the stomach, the basic color-scheme is flat-silver and dark gun-metal. The rivets and armor plates look great.
-He has a rubbery belt with two "boxes" on either side. They have flexible ribbed hoses that connect to the top-side of the boots. Is this his flight-system? I don't remember Steel ever wearing this belt, but then again I've only seen him a few times in comics so what do I know :} I think he would look better without it though.
-The left forearm has that big manacle-thing he...[

DarwinSeaquest DSV (Playmates) - Basic Series

SuperNinjaMonkeyAhh yes the classic SeaQuest DSV toy line. It amazed me that this B grade TV series managed to earn themselves a toy line in the first place. This must have been the era of where toy companies were latching onto any license possible. Well aside from all that, this here is Darwin, the toy based on the Dolphin friend of Lucas from the show. While I can see Playmates idea was in the right place, it just didn't work out. Darwin just comes as is with some lame accessories. Hey Playmates, it's a freakin fish, think it would have been better suited with a deluxe playset like a fish tank or something for it to swim in. Now that would make a cool display with the other figures nearby. But no, they just wanted to cut corners and save money, thus the result was weak and effortless. Not a bad sculpt...[

KenStreet Fighter (SOTA Toys) - Round 2

Henchmen4HireNormally, I hate guys named Ken, but Street Fighter's Ken is an exception. I mean, how can you hate a fictional character right? It's okay to hate Mario though, he keeps wrecking Bowser's awesome castles, and I'm sure those things must have cost a fortune, what with all the secret passageways and statues that shoot lasers out of their eyes, freaking Mario. :|
D'ya Ken seas a beag over 6 inches. Sorry, I've been watching too much Highlander...Ken stands a little bit over 6 inches, about 6.1. If you haven't heard it already, SOTA's Street Fighter toys are fantabulous, unrivaled in detail and accuracy. Ken's suit (I know, it's called a "Gi". Look, I have the toy and you don't so just shaddap and listen, alright?) has smooth sleeves (as opposed to Ryu's ripped sleeves) and is cast in red...[

Henchmen4HireI know, I'm almost broke and here I am buying more toys to review. Like you wouldn't buy a Thor figure at first sight! Pfft!
The Odinson towers at 7 inches tall. According to the package, he's supposed to be 6-foot 6-inches, which means he's supposed to be 6.5 inches, so technically he's half an inch too long, but when was the last time a guy complained about that, right? Moving on...Thor is muscle yearning to explode in a berserker's fury restrained only by scale-armor and silvered chains...and stretchy pants. Really though, who made his suit, the poor guy doesn't have a zipper or any laces to undo for when he must succumb the Call of the Nature. The folds in the pants are great though, they definitely add to the realism. The attention to detail overall is spectacular, it's just too bad...[

Kyle RobinsonHAPPY DAY!! Sorta I finally found the new Player Select Line of street fighter figures at my local TRU. Bad news is that they only had Ken. The wave consist of 3 characters if you didn't already know. Ryu, Ken, and a new female character named Crimson Viper (C. Viper for short). He was not only the only character, but the only SF IV figure on the peg (only one peg I might add) The cashier added “Pretty figures, they have been flying off the shelf like hot cakes”.
So lets talk about Ken and all his awesomeness. Below you will see the package images of Ken, the Packaging is basically what you expect from NECA by now which is pretty great. The back gives you some specs on Ken, a list of the figures in the series, and a Devinci like diagram of how the articulation works.
After opening Ken,...[

Spawn (Regular Head)Spawn - Movie (McFarlane Toys) - Basic Series

BobTheEggFor those of us who cannot find the Image 10th Anniversary figure or simply do not like dealing with a gigantic plastic cape, this figure is probably the best and most articulated Spawn you're going to get. At first when I got him I was worried his gigantic awesome gun might not fit in his hand, but I was wrong. The gun is specially designed so that he can hold it and still also have the awesome hand sculpt like he's reaching out to grab some murderer or something. And the bandoliers with the ammo on them really add a lot to the figure. I mean, it's just all around a great Spawn, and I'm guessing you could even make some customs using the great sculpt. The only problem with all the figures in the movie Spawn line is that not a single Spawn has a cape. The thing is, this excited me because...[

I''ve seen real guys with muscle like that, but granted, they almost didn''t seem real.
And yeah, I see every single figure from this series still on the pegs...
