Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Face Off Sets - Series 2
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
There are hundreds of Iron Man suits, many of them outrageously designed, but I still like the simple suit he has for the Face-Off series. It's the only suit that looked like something a guy could actually wear without being laughed at. Tony stands 6 inches tall, which is in-scale with other ML figures, but maybe he should have been a little bit taller? 6.25 maybe? I mean, he is wearing a robotic suit after all! There just HAS to be some added height with that kind of gear on! The face-mask is removable but Tony's face don't look too hot. I recommend keeping it on, assuming you CAN keep it on because it doesn't fit neatly on his helmet, you've got to twist it around and wedge it in, and even then there are still some little gaps around the edges. The whole figure is cast in plain red...[See More]

Lol...I can''t find any ML figs around here anymore. It''s been two weeks and all I''ve seen are some old X-23 and a bunch of DCSH Scarecrows on the shelves...I''ll keep looking though...

Great hair, a rockin' body, and bio-electric blasts, what's not to love about Jessica Drew? Her hands! Those awful hideous hands! Aaaaahhhh!!! <img class="rightfloat" src="Galleries/marvellegends/SpiderWoman2-S15.jpg"> Spider-Woman stands 6 inches tall (a little taller if you count the hair), a huge improvement over the first short Psylocke body. And it's a good thing they didn't just re-use the Psylocke head with different hair because this new head is a nice sculpt. The black lines are sculpted on, not just painted (on the mask, the ones on the body are just painted). The black hair is flexible, and mercifully, doesn't have any ugly blue highlights. The body is cast in red plastic with all the flat-yellow and black painted-on. The paint is pretty good, it chips at the joints though...[See More]

It not a horrible figure and they got the character lppoking right but like you said if I was a kid wanting to play with it I can see some frustration building. But that don''t matter to me cuase shes gonna be so much fodder!

Sure, maybe, and also because the required peg won''t fit into the figure''s arm with those webs attached. The webs are glued on but they have little tabs that go into the figure''s body, the tab is deep enough in the arm to prevent a peg from being put in there to make the glove swivel. I mean, I''m pretty sure they could fit a peg in there if they wanted to, they could even have made the peg pop into the yellow part of the forearm instead of the red, but they just didn''t feel like going the extra mile I guess (how much more does it cost to add a swivel?). And I wouldn''t even care so much if it weren''t for those hands...

X-Men - 2006 Series (Toy Biz) - Series 3
Rated 4.50 stars by colten frost
Rogue, well as some may know this is by far my favorite comic book character ever. So need less to say I was in fits of rage when she didn’t show up in my surrounding area’s toy stores, but I finally bought her of a website (for 30 bucks) and opened her up and found she was beautiful on the exception of her eyes which make her look more like Matt Murdock (blind as a bat!!!!) but with her glasses or a tad of a paint job that’s no huge biggie. She also stands on her own feet, which is a plus! Since most need stands. She also has a nice body, although not my favorite costume I can and did get over it. She came in like twelve different variants; mine has long hair, glasses, and no jacket. The one I spent four months looking for!!! She is also 1000000000% better than her marvel legend counter...[See More]

ones like madam hooch
anothers a variant of hooch but differnt paint job on eyes and lips
and the last looks like one of the goodllooking ones but a mold mishap must have happened as her face is kinda looking like shes chewing her lip - and i''m a good enough sculptor to know that it aint intentional

Iron Man - 2008 Movie (Hasbro) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Shady8168
Hello All! I got lucky last week and found an Iron Man Mark III on a website and had to buy it, I gotta tell you I was a little worried about the Iron Man Movie figures because of how bad Hasbro screwed up the Spider-man 3 figures, so needless to say I was sweating pretty bad until I got him( hoping my $40 plus shipping wasn't a waste) but when I got him in the mail I was amazed! he is a little bit smaller than most marvel legends not really noticeable though, he is the same height just a tad bit scrawny in comparison so like Captain america or Black Panther. However it doesn't make him look out of place at all. The Possibility of the figure is wonderful( I would say 25-30 POA just like most ML ) He is really good at holding his position, no loose joints, and he looks really cool doing...[See More]

Yea i know 40 bucks was alot ( think how my wife felt when she found out 0.0) but i think he was worth it. These figures should be hitting store shelfs around the end of march and should retail for $7-10 per figure alittle more if they do deluxe figures.

Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen (Hasbro) - Deluxe Class
Rated 1.00 stars by Shinobitron
First of all I'm pretty easy going when it come to the various TF lines. Though I do prefer the toony animated feel of TFA figures and classics some of the movie design are in fact pretty cool. There were some gems in the first Movie wave of figures and I was hoping that Soundwave was going to be the begining of something good for the sequel. . . . I WAS WRONG! Soundwave was the biggest waste of $13.00 (plus tax) that I have ever partook in. The figure is clunky short and is onlt good in botmode (and thats a far stretch). I am going to go thru the review in modes for this piece of $13.00 (plus tax) crud. Botmode- OK in the package he looks good and if you seen the back of the package he looks very detailed and a larger 6" scale figure. In actuality he has little detailing a poopy grey...[See More]

Transformers - Robots in Disguise (2001) (Hasbro) - Exclusives
Rated 5.00 stars by CplHicks
Ahhh Robots in Disguise. After a long history of animal’s transformers we get back to the roots of what made transformers great…Vehicles!!! Yeah I guess it was kinda cool to see Prime as a gorilla but in my heart I always missed him as a semi truck. Finally RID gives us back our cars, trucks and other metal vehicle forms. I was pumped for this show!! My favorite character quickly became Scourge. This black and teal semi truck bada$$ was the coolest thing about the show. Megatron the leader of the predacons seemed weak and inferior to this 20 ton 800 horse power metal powerhouse. Scourge was a Toys R Us excusive. He uses the same mould as the Generation 2 Laser optimus prime. Unlike the Prime which featured lights and sounds Scourge does NOT feature any working electronics. The battery...[See More]

I came across this thread while google-checking the name of the figure for a friend here at F.R, lol.
Scourge is by far the best TF I own too! Although I don''t agree with the assessment of ''limited articulation'' - it has swivels (if I remember correctly) on it''s arms and legs. It comes across as the ideal G1-style transformer. No crazy ball joints, but there''s at least some &quot; O- &quot; style ones so you get a great range of motion.

Hey glad you liked my review
He is my favorite Transformer I own.
I got the last one at my TRU and the package was really beat up. So I take it to the customer service desk and ask if there was a discount because of it. The person told me they''d take 10% off. That wasn''t good enough so I come back later and get a diffrent person at the desk. Scored myself 25% off the 39.99 retail price
Turth be told he is worth paying full price for. He is just so awesome.
I highly recomend him!

Dark Knight - Movie Masters (Mattel) - Series 2 (with Crime Scene Evidence)
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, I'll start by saying that Scarecrow is one of the characters who I like, but I don't know much about. I originally picked up movie Masters Scarecrow and he went in a drawer for a year, when I decided to start getting serious about my collecting, I eventually found him, and liking the movie version of Scarecrow, put him up. It wasn't until about a month later that I noticed he had DCUC type articulation. I was elated. This figure is great. Amazing sculpt on the cloak and the clothes under it, the mask is perfectly sculpted to capture the fact that it's like a burlap sack on his face, and while here's not many ways you can think to pose him, the articulation is made so that you can do pretty much whatever you think of. He's definitely one of my favorite DC figures, even though he's...[See More]

BalrogBalrog
Lord of the Rings (Neca) - Epic Scale
Rated 4.50 stars by Deaditor
Durin’s Bane, a Balrog of Morgoth. This is the largest figure I own. I am really glad to own one and of course recommend getting one if you are an avid Tolkien fan but there are issues with it despite it being the perfect size which when paired with your choice of Gandalf, canbe desplayed with pride! It’s scale does not disappoint but causes it’s problems. You get a menacing looking Balrog with extremely highly detailed texturing paint apps and sculpting, but due to its colossal size and weight doubles by his massive wings he is a bit too delicate. The way this figure was made its clear a lot of time went into the design but the actual joints themselves are hollow which leads to easier breaking even when not in use. The weight of the wings warps the joints where they are inserted so again...[See More]

I just got one of these, broken of course. My figure is in desperate need of some repairs, but I paid less than $100 for it and I could not be happier. It would have been better if they didn't add articulation to the lower half and focused on the stability of it.

Good ol' Hank, the smartest man in the world, when his skin turned blue, and hair did too, for a cure his mind drew blank. That's right, I rhymed. I've been waiting to get a Beast since he was given the ML treatment. The old 5-inch one was great but I like this one so much more. I've read a few other reviews on him and they weren't very glowing, I wonder why. He looks like he's supposed to and is the perfect height, so what's the problem? Did I just get the one perfectly crafted figure? Heh. Beast stands intently at about 6.5 inches tall. I was wondering how well the sculptors were going to show the hair on his body, and it looks good! The majorly hairy-spots (like at the elbows) have heavily-sculpted hair while the rest of the body has a fine "hair-pattern", it works well. The muscles...[See More]
