Arm removal

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hello realmers, How are the arms on the SW Black Series figures attached? Do you need to crack open the torso or are they just pegged in since there is no ab crunch? What about the ML Mordo and Dr.Strange movie figs that have the same construction? Thx in advance!

Press a pen into the upper torso. If you can sink it in or it makes a noticeable dent, it's soft plastic, if not it's hard plastic.

The (Clone)troopers all have soft plastic upper torsos.

Also look at the sides of the figure, hard torsos tend to have the joining seams there while soft torsos might have seams somewhere else since they aren't two separate pieces clamped together.

Thx for the response. Yeah I thought the Troopers were that way but the First Order trooper I had to crack open. I guess I need just check for those seams like u said. I think if the upper torso can just pop off with heat, they're just pegged in. Thx for the help

Thanks for the info, I guess it makes sense that First Order troopers should be hard plastic so they can have that smooth shiny surface.
