Glowing effect

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hello Realmers, I am working on a custom right now and i am trying to achieve a glowing/irradiated effect. At first I was thinking to use a bright color for the base & cracks and then the other color over it but then i thought of maybe just spray painting the figure in the underlying glow that i want and then paint over it. Whats the best spraypaint to use for something like that? Or is there a better way to accomplish it? Thx in advance!

I also depends what's glowing, for example if you want cracks to glow, you would actually put the lighter color in the cracks and darker on the main surface, so it looks like light shining through the cracks.

Use a saturated base color, then layer paler/lighter colors on top of the areas that are supposed to be glowing.

This is one way to do it (at about 5 minutes)

Thx for the response Doc! Watched the video and its gonna take a while with the base I'm using, A Thing figure. It might work though if I want only certain cracks to have this effect.
