3.75" Inch Figure

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

I'm personally not a big fan of 3.75" inch figures, because they look so tiny, but they're starting to change my view on them. I would like to know your opinion on 3.75" inch figures. I noticed the 3.75" inch figures are starting to become a bit popular... or did they already become popular?

Those Marvel Universe figures are pretty interesting. They have nice articulations and it seems to be easier to animate them. Let's not forget to mention the wide variety of dioramas we could make for these tiny figures. I've seen some videos based on the Marvel Universe 3.75" inch figures, and they seem like a good idea.

There are also 3.75" inch figures from DC, the Injustice figures. I saw many bad reviews about them.

So, what's your opinion on 3.75" inch figures? Do you like them, do you loathe them, or are you in between?

Large scale dioramas are cool, but they take a lot of time to make. I imagine that's why a lot of animators don't use them, although I agree that it adds a lot to the presentation if you've got authentic looking surroundings.

Pretty amazing stuff, huh? I like his work a lot. If I had money, I would pay him to make a Street Fighter stop motion. That would be sweet!

Did you notice all the dioramas he made for his videos? That's what I really like, because 95 percent of stop motion animations of action figures are always animated in their own homes, especially bedrooms. Boring! So, this guy, who animates figures in dioramas, really stands out!

Imagine street fighters fighting each other in their classic stages, like Guile's airforce field, or the streets.

That was a pretty awesome Star Wars YouTube stop motin animation video--I can only imagine how long that took to set up and shoot.

I have an 18" Spidey, and it looks awesome! Someone will have to make 18" Spidey base into a Galactus custom. I haven't seen one, the only one 18" custom figure I found in here is Groot.

I think I can see why many people like those 3.75" figures. It all started from Star Wars, I'm sure. I like those Star Wars figures. I think they're cool.

Since you're a Star Wars fan, here's a video of 3.75" Star Wars figures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N7qz6T ... JEdE87kTsg

His videos had me convinced that 3.75" figures are awesome! Notice the dioramas he set up in his videos? That's what I like.

I had dozens of 3-3/4" Star Wars and G.I.JOE toys as a child, so that scale will always have a special place in my heart. Nowadays, I collect toys of all sizes, from miniatures to 18" giants, so scale doesn't really matter to me, one way or the other, except when it comes to storage space (big figures take up a lot of room, which sometimes discourages me from purchasing larger figures and dolls). Sure, it's nice to have figures that are all one consistent scale, so that they can believably interact with one another, but there's fun to be had with a ridiculously out-of-scale figure beating on little ones too.

Hm. Interesting.

I wonder... Why do I have a feeling that they're so popular? I see so many of them in the stores, then I came back a week later, the 3.75" inch figures were gone.

Thanks for the reply, man.

I'll always have a place in my collection and my heart for 3.75" figures. My first collection was Starwars and they're almost exclusively in that scale, before the introduction of the black series. There's also other lines such as the Hobbit and Thundercats which now have a place in my collection. Don't get me wrong, I love 6" scale and probably prefer it over 3,75 just too many memories and good times collecting 3.75 to just discard them now, plus they take up less space .
