Need some help please.

So this happened today. I just got the leg and it snapped off right when I went to bend his knee. So, I'll see if Target will let me get another and if not, I can buy another Iron Man, but I have a bigger dilemma. They made every joint that snaps in nearly impossible to remove once it's put in. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to remove his half a leg?

I tried using a hairdryer and it was a bust. It is possible I didn't heat it for long enough, but the design of the peg and hole are held ridiculously tight. This has taught me to be SUPER careful when checking a BAF piece.

Next time, a hair dryer will be your best friend. Heat up the joint and pull it out. Super simple. Glad you got it fixed. You can also heat up water and dunk it in, but a hair dryer is a lot easier in my experiences.

With the gummy plastic Hasbro has been using lately, the parts pop out even quicker/easier than with older figures. Heating things up is also a great way to straighten out warped plastic. My Groot had extremely warped fingers, as well as most of the Wolverine figure's claws I've purchased. Fixed every one of them this way.

Okay, so I tried the string method, and every string I tried broke. The sucker was trapped in there. So, I removed the thigh piece so only the joint itself was in there. Then, I cut the part of the joint that was holding the thigh (it was ring shaped attached to the peg that plugs into the pelvic peg hole) and dremeled a hole in the center of the peg still in the joint/peghole. Finally, after a hole was drilled all the way in the center of the peg, I took an Xacto knife and dug out the remaining parts of the peg and cleared it out. I went to Target, they let me exchange the Iron Man figure, and boom, I finally have the awesome BAF that is Groot. Thank you for your help guys!

I think I may be able to help..I had to pull out the arms from the ultimate green goblin the other day and this worked for it
get some string thats thin enough to slide behind the leg joint, but make sure its sturdy enough to not break

wrap it around or tie it loosely and start pulling lol..if you pull hard enough it should pop free. just try and take it slow.im not sure how similer the groot joint is to the goblin, but this way your only pulling on the hard plastic peg and not the softer rubbery parts
