I was looking for information on a Knickerbocker Ringwraith and found this old thread. Is there any chance someone can remember what the figure with the supposed highlights looked like (ie, where were the highlights). Or maybe someone has new information that has come up in the last 3 or 4 years.

Thanks!

That is one of the lines I always thought of getting into. Now that most of the vintage lines I collect are becoming more and more complete, I think I will keep an eye open for them.

I collect the new line as well... As you know, the knickerbocker line is pretty small. I tend to collect the monsters and bad guys first.

I have a ringwraith, mint complete and loose. I also have gollum. He has a little wear... A little loose in his legs as well. But the ringwraith is a prize possession of mine.

I would love to have his horse (Charger), but you know how expensive that thing is.

The ringwraith is the one I would recommend. You can grab one for about $120, $130 loose... It's just an awesome figure. His weapons and just the general feel of the figure is unique and worth the investment...

Yea. I found the auction you were talking about. There's no way to tell from the pic if it's a custom job. If he can't provide any proof that a variant exists, and especially can't tell you the history of that figure, I would stay away from it.

So how many of the old Knickerbockers do you have in your collection? I'm a big fan of the new line that's out, but I don't own any of these. I know they are quite expensive.

That's what I was thinking. They have one on E-Bay...

I'm pretty up on this line of figures, and have never seen it... Go query on it on E bay if my link doesn't work... but never have I seen it... and thus I asked...

The seller words it in a way that leaves him innocent of ever claiming it a variant. He says it books at... $275... loose.

I couldn't find anything that shows this figure exists. I couldn't find any websites about variations of this figure and there are no variations listed in Lee's Toy Magazine.

I would guess it has been painted.
