Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fall Lineup with Press Pics
By Ron, on July 7th, 2012
Unless you’ve been living in a sewer (groan, I know), you have probably heard that Nickelodeon is launching a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle animated series this Fall. In conjunction with the show, Playmates is launching an all-new line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys. They’ve sent us pics of their full product line of figures and vehicles, including the totally impressive Turtle Lair playset. We should see figures on shelves at all major retailers (Toys R Us, Target, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart) as well as select specialty retailers, beginning mid-August. And several mass and specialty on-line retailers will begin taking pre-orders as early as next Tuesday, July 10th.
We’ll start with the Classic line, as that is near and dear to our hearts. All text and images to follow are from Playmates except as noted.
Classic Collection Action Figures
The Classic Collection Action Figures reflect the look of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 80’s TV show. Each Turtle stands 6 inches tall, features more than 30 points of articulation and is authentically detailed to appeal to the true action figure collector. Each Turtle will come with its core Ninja weapons and a personalized sewer lid cover name base. The Classic Collection Action Figures collection includes Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo. (Ages 4+, $14.99 each, August 2012)
[Editor's note - check out Veebee's First Look - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection Donatello for a more in-depth look at the Classics Donatello.]
Basic Figures
With more than 12 points of articulation, these action figures are the most highly detailed and articulated Turtle figures ever made! Each turtle figure is uniquely sculpted, with heights ranging from 4.25 inches to 4.75 inches, to capture the individual personalities of the characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show. The line includes the four main turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, as well as their sensei, Splinter, and April O’ Neil, their human connection to the surface. Each Turtle is wearing his signature bandana and comes packed with their two core Ninja weapons for hours of Ninja playing excitement. A bonus weapons accessory rack is also included. The Basic Figure line also features characters from The Evil Foot Clan, including Shredder, The Kraang and a Foot Soldier. Each figure is compatible with the entire Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line of vehicles and playsets. (Ages 4+, $7.99 – $8.99 each, August 2012)
Deluxe Power Sound FX Figures
Able to deliver battle phrases with awesome sound effects, the Power Sound FX Figures come to life like never before! Each of the figures stands 5.5 inches tall and features proprietary wire coil activation in the arms and legs that triggers heroic battle phrases. Kids simply pull back and hold the activation limb to hear reverberated phrases such as “I’m invincible!” and “Hiiiiiiii-yaa!” Each figure comes with different battle phrases and sound effects, as well as their core Ninja weapons. The Power Sound FX Figures collection includes Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Shredder. (Ages 4+, $12.99 each, August 2012)
Vehicles
Sewer Spinnin’ Skateboard: Compatible with all the Basic Turtle Action Figures, the Sewer Spinnin’ Skateboard comes ready to Shred! The skateboard looks just like the skateboard featured in the TV show and includes Ninja Battle Boost technology that allows it to perform up to 10 different skateboard tricks. Kids simply position their favorite Turtle in various configurations on the board, rev it up, release and watch their heroperform cool tricks! Includes a stunt ramp for high flying action! (Ages 4+, $10.99, August 2012)
Rippin’ Rider: With the Rippin’ Rider, the Turtles can hit the road readyfor battle! Compatible with all the Basic Turtle Action Figures, the Rippin’ Rider comes complete with classic Turtle details and textures, including chopper front forks, quadruple rear exhaust and a T-shaped headlight to sniff out The Foot wherever they are hiding. To fight against Shredder and the evil Foot Clan, the Rippin’ Rider also includes “Finger Flick Missiles” that will destroy the enemies on impact! (Ages 4+, $10.99, August 2012)
Ninja Stealth Bike: A true Ninja needs a stealthy ride with awesomelooks and details, and the Ninja Stealth Bike more than delivers! As seen in the TV show and compatible with all the Basic Turtle Action Figures, the Ninja Stealth Bike allows the Turtles to travel the streets hunting down The Kraang, without being seen! The vehicle features a textured turtle shell that covers the turtle from head to toe, and to on-lookers from above, makes it look just like the street. But with Ninja Battle Boost technology and the flip of a button, the shell opens, revealing a Ninja Turtle ready for battle! The cycle comes with an exclusive Raphael action figure decked out in his slick helmet and gloves. (Ages 4+, $19.99, August 2012)
Dragon Chopper: A bad enemy like The Foot and the dreaded Foot Soldiers need a bad ride, and the Dragon Chopper is a really, really BAD RIDE! As seen in the TV show and compatible with Shredder, the Foot Soldiers and the four Basic Turtle Action Figures, the Dragon Chopper has a look and style like no other. It includes Ninja Battle Boost technology, allowing kids to secure their figure on the seat. When ready for battle, kids simply push the activation button and watch as the action figure performs a 360 degree flip over the handle bars and lands on its feet, ready for battle! The Dragon Chopper comes with an exclusive Foot Soldier action figure, wearing his red Ninja outfit and a removable dragon helmet. (Ages 4+, $19.99, August 2012)
Shellraiser: When the Turtles need to hit the road and take command and control with them, they all pile into the Shellraiser. Built to run either on the subway rails or on the busy streets of New York City, the Shellraiser delivers all the fire power needed for the Turtles to travel together to take down Shredder and the Foot Clan! With entrances on the top, in the front and on the side of the car, up to eight Basic Action Figures can fit inside. The Shellraiser really packs a punch with Ninja Battle Boost technology, including a spring loaded cannon on the top of the car and a side door that automatically opens with the touch of a button, sending kids’ favorite hero in a half shell flying out the side with 360 degree Ninja flip-kicking action, to wage battle on anything standing in its way! (Ages 4+, $29.99, August 2012)
Secret Sewer Lair Playset
The ultimate playset for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans, the Secret Sewer Lair playset is BIG, and ready for Ninja battle action! This playset will have kids creating their own Lair of excitement as they become the leader of the pack, swinging into action, training the Turtles and defeating Shredder once and for all! Standing 42 inches tall and resembling the Sewer Lair that is home to the Turtles in the TV show, the Secret Sewer Lair includes more than 20 different exciting Ninja features, such as: telescoping periscopes so the Turtles can keep track of what’s going on in the city; ropeswing and swing-down ladders for joining a battle at a moment’s notice; lines that can be connected to objects in a kid’s room, allowing the Turtles to rappel into battle; an elevator in the back of the set for easy transition from floor to floor; a Shredder statue so the Turtles can practice their Ninja skills; a computer lab for Donatello to master his latest invention; doors that open and close easily and floors that fall out, just in the nick of time; an ooze drain to douse the enemies trying to break in; and much, much more! (Ages 4+, $119.99, August 2012)

Captain America , ironman , Thor , Loki & hulk .
All except the Hulk look like re issued figures and caps suit is the newer one from the movie but not very impressive even the hulk the figure I saw looked like he needed to hit the gym it was like he had no muscle definition and for the hulk that is just sad . They have to do something better To make up for that figure .
Nothing much else new but I'm gonna have to check out them again to see if they'll carry the t.v walking dead figures.
Also spotted the Gears of war 3 -2 pack Marcus Fenix vs. Locust , the Marcus looks awesome he has the new articulation like the Greyson Hunt from bulletstorm and his new look from the new game it's a Toys r us exclusive 2 pack that sells for $34.99 .
But the new thing was the new 4 inch street fighter 2 packs for $17.99 each the articulation looked good and the packs I saw were Ryu vs. Sagat , Ken vs. Blanka , looks like this is the first line there will be more to come in round 2 with chun li vs. Vega, and M. bison vs. Akuma.
So Check them out realmers.
The last in the line is the ww2 captain america which I dident look too much at it looks like a re-issue of the 2 Pack version. But the sale price is $17.99 and there only available at walmart so there out there realmers get um if you see um or get them on someone's trade list I know some one will eventually post them up.
Catch ya later !
Retail price is around $35 in my opinion well wort it. But check it out realmers
Also spotted marvel universe 2 packs with classic captain and spider man along with luke cage & iron fist. Looks cool.
While there I also saw the new Hugh Jackman movie " Real Steel" figures series 1 all 4 fighting robots. They are single pack 8 inch figures that are around $20 & the same 8 inch figures in Versus 2 packs for $35 which is a good deal also they look pretty cool. There was also the "Atom" (the hero robot of the film ) dress up costume for kids .
The batman arkham asylum 2 pack with batman & two face and batman begins 2 pack with Bruce Wayne in prototype suit & Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman ) for around $30 also the new dcu 6 in batman line with black & grey angry mouth batman , repainted Mr. Freeze & 1960 style joker ( new head sculpt 1960 comic style) for around $16. The smaller
total justice figures were there too for around $11.
All were spotted at target.
This is what I spotted @ walmart I Came accross The DCU 6 Inch scale GLSeries 2 Figures the whole set But Half the set was returned With out the BAF Parts . That was freaking Heartbreaking I Had The Whole set in my cart Then noticed they where missing The BAF Parts So I Just Took The Cart that was full of the figures And Pushed it in to the The Back Stock room Doors And Kicked it in the room And I Just Left The Store That Sucked !
But I went Back This morning And they Restocked them Oh Well !
I will start taking photos and posting them to hear. I vole Ted to pick stuff up for anyone
If they see anything they like.
DCUC is insane at 19.99 and the IM Legends are overflowing the pegs at 17.99.
No sign of the "New" Legends 2-packs for months.
1 ultimate captain America. 2 heavy artillery captain America. 3 WW2 captain America ( just a 3.75 version of the hasbro 2 pack version still looked cool. There was also a captain America w/ Humvee vehicle for $24.
I also spotted Green Lantern movie figures out too fully charged GL , sinistro & deluxe versions with automatic transformation green power sheilds ( touch it and it flips out into a fist or scorpion depends on who you buy ) From the 3.75 inch figures for around $10 to $15.
There was dress up nerf like GL hand cannon that shoots clear green disk.
I also spotted the movie masters Hal Jordan & Abin w/ lantern ( Abin looks better than Hal he has the ab swivel insted of the ab crunch joint. Hal has no ab joint only waist articulation & the Hal dosent really look like Ryan R.) for $45 they should have done a better job.
Well there out now so go get them folks.
and also GL series 1 dcu black hand, mongel - for $20.99 ( what a ripoff in my opinion ) but it is what it is.
Also spotted marvel universe bullseye among the same marvel univers figures thay had for the past few months.
ML's went up to $40.00 over Christmas...
Apparently the FAO Schwarz guy owns/co-owns TRU now, And likes to take advantage of prices.
