Stumbled across these today at a local comic shop...I didn't know that there was going to even be a figure line from this movie. Lineup consists of Kick-A$$ (batons and alternate bloody unmasked face) and Hit-Girl with butterfly knives and long handled knives and cloth tartan skirt. Both figures have minimal articulation, but they are pretty decent sculpts...
my local hastings has both figures, and they also have the 12 inch versions of both as well. both are very nicely painted and detailed. I may eventually get them but I haven't decided lol
This was a highly entertaining movie in my opinion. I never read the graphic novel because John Romita's artwork kind of turns me off, but what I didn't know was that it was written by Mark Millar (Superman: Red Son) which probably accounts for the fresh approach to the "what if there really were superheroes?" concept. I understand however that the movie does not follow the comic completely, but that doesn't bother me as I have not read it. Without giving up any spoilers, let me say that it was hilarious (and somewhat sad), extremely violent, well acted, even Nicolas Cage did a decent job (not a huge fan). The movie is perhaps geared more for teen audiences, but there is plenty of bloody violence and adult language and a few instances of sexual content (no nude scenes). The story is smart and moving enough to appeal to adults as well. There are some shocking and surprising things that happen in this movie, so be prepared for a wild ride! Lastly, I would not recommend this as a family or first date kind of movie.
