lets take a stroll down memory lane

Posted in Identify Help

So guys I figured we could all talk about those old figures we used to own and memories surounding them. Rather we were denied a toy that once we got older (nerdier) we just had to have or just a toy we can never get rid of let's just share are fondest memories of are childhood.

Mine has to be now after having all the best MLs and DCs I find myself wanting old power rangers and pre ML toybi toys

man I am so sorry to hear anything about losing a collection, such as shapp and darth, had that happen to me also. Lost all my old MOTU save Ram man who jumped to safety the night before. But I do miss my old MOTU (but love the 200X more and like some of the MOTUC), secret wars, superpowers, bionic six, muscle men, TMNT all of these rocked. I liked transformers, but never could get my parents to buy them, always wanted the dinobots. they were my favorite transformers, the others were ok, but the dinos were my omg. I even liked some of the old wrestling figs, the action of them was unique to anything that is made today.

I think the thing that I miss the most is the collection I had of ooooooold school He-Man figures. I had so many it wasn't even funny and lost them all. My parents sold our house when I was like 7 and the people that bought it broke into out storage and stole everything that was in there. Man those things are crazy expensive to rebuy now =(

I miss a lot of the stuff I had as a kid that is now so hard to come by or kind of high priced. Some of my memories lead me back to...

THE ADVENTURES OF THE GALAXY RANGERS FIGURES

ROBOTECH

BIONIC SIX

SUPER POWERS

SECRET WARS

SILVERHAWKS

WHEELED WARRIORS

STARCOM

SKY COMMANDERS

I think I`m one of the lucky ones out ther , my folks have never threw out any of my favourite toys , well my dad did sell my MOTU on the bay
though he did keep all of my brothers she-ra , yeah my brothers she-ra lol he even has the ship thing ? with the wings ? dunno the name , still in its box ,
saving them for my daughter to destroy .
Everytime I`m at my moms I always end up in the attic or shed finding random figures I thought were long gone .

I ALMOST started collecting them recently. I got 3 of them in the last six months. Two were complete, the other was missing 1 weapon. If I had gotten a nice lot on eBay I was bidding on I would have started, but got outbid and traded the figs away.

That's to bad. They were the bomb!

Oh man, strolls down memory lane always make me sad for all of the toys I used to have Does anyone else remember a toy line called Robo-Force? I remember the figures were all robots that had some kind of mechanism that when you pushed a button on their back their arms closed or something. Sounds kinda lame by todays standards but back then I thought they were pretty cool and recall that they had a big headquarters playset and vehicle that worked with a lot of my toys. Walking down the toy aisles today doesn't compare to all the cool/unique choices we had back then!

He-man figures and gi joes were my favorites. I also had a lot of fond memories of Go-bots ( when you're too poor for transformers!) and I had like 1 thundercat figure and the snark straw holder. I played with a orko eraser and voltron eraser too because they were a complete rubber eraser figure. I enjoyed that so!

That was Omega Supreme. He was a really expensive toy too. I remember for my 6th birthday getting Optimus Prime, my dad stopped and got him at Hills on the way home from work that day. As usual he was always waiting to the last minute lol.

The old Superfriends action figures. You squeezed Superman's legs and he'd punch with his arms... squeeze Aquaman's arms and his legs would kick.

My best toy memory has to be getting that huge (well to a small child) Transformers base that transformed into a robot. Normally it was a rocket and base with a train track thing with a tram that ran around it. No clue what it was called.

Oh and you can't forget Go-Bots. I had a lot of them, too.

The muscles figures that used to come in the trashcans in the 80s? Had them. Mostly Transformers, I didn't have a massive amount of them since they cost a lot compared to GI which I had a good number of. Most holiday memories had Transformers in them more than GI joe.

If you can find out the name so I know it'd one I don't have yet I'll totally trade you something for it.

I don't know the name. I don't know that figure run very well. It doesn't matter though because I went to the store yesterday and it had sold. I sea them pretty often there so if I sea some again I'll pm you.

Starwars goes without saying, I still have most of the vintage ones in the loft (missing 8 of last 16).

M.A.S.K was wicked I loved those toys.

Centurions- power extreme.

TMNT the originals still got all four turtles, sewer bike and turtle den (missing a coulpe of parts).

Oh and of course thundercats, my mum gave all my stuff away so I'm busy making new ones.

Action force (later renamed GI JOE).

He-Man got some of these lately and I so don't remeber them having battle actions.

Manta force at least I think it was called that one massive space ship with loads of others inside it and like inch tall men.

I think that's it for now....... yep can't think of anymore at the moment.

OOOOH, monster in my pocket and yes muscle men were great fun so simple but brilliant to play with.

botsmaster. still have about half of them, but used to have 95% of them.

c.o.p.s. some of the gratest figures ever. loved buttons.

I did love mask toys.

also, those toys with the air pump in the vehicles that would float a styrofoam ball.... don't remember what they are called.

exo squad........... oh my....... loved the figures.

I would put joes and vintage star wars, but I still have a good portion of those.
