help me getting to know this character

I've had this figure for like 10years, and I still got no clue who is this guy suposed to be, if anyone could give me any references like what comics he is in, or a character biography that would be apreciated

thanks you all, I downloaded spawn comics, and will now read issue 91 to learn something about the gatekeeper, he's also in a N64 video game, I dunno his rike there, I didn't play that game.

Just read the issue he was in. He's mentioned in the bio I posted, he's essentailly a sentry. I can't find any other mention of him. I do get the impression from reading the issue that he's not an individual character, but type of minion.

All I can find is that his name is Gate Keeper (from Spawn Series 8 ) and this little blurb:
"Gate Keeper is an evil force to be reckoned with. He guards the entrance to the Darklands allowing only those personally chosen by Malebolgia to enter."
