Marvel Select vs Marvel Legends Scale

Hey all, I'm another newbie here and I gotta say this site is cool, fun and informative. It's great to see so much support and help. I'm very, very new to customizing so I hope y'all don't mind my extremely basic questions too much.

I was wondering about the scale relation between the Select figs and the Legends figs (pertaining to the regular sized characters not the bigger dudes like Thanos and Watcher) - are the Select out of proportion with the current Legends? I'm thinking about picking up a Select Spider Woman because the Legends one sucks so bad - or at least mine does. Also have seen some deals on the Select Black Widow and have been thinking about grabbing one.

Along that line of thinking - I scored an ML Series 1 Iron Man and he's a little bit bigger than all my other ML figs - did they make the figs smaller after the first couple series? I couldn't believe how big they made the Series 3 Thor - I know he's a Viking God and all but sheesh; he's waaaay outta proportion. Maybe I'm being too nit-picky.
