Characters You Miss That You'd Like to See as Action Figures

Posted in Identify Help

So who from your yesteryears would you like to see as an action figure????
No matter how obscure or odd, who who who?

For myself I'd rather love to see The Visitor from Valiant comics!

How about some 6-7" Streets of Rage characters? I want a SOR1 Blaze.

On a more obvious note, I have yet to find a 6-7" Batman that I really like. Go figure it would be the character that has been made into an action figure more times than can be counted.

Did anyone see the NECA remakes of the classic Kenner Predators? Those look awesome. I had all the Kenner press when I was a kid, and I want those!

I like to see some Suikoden characters get some action figures. I know they made little statues of them though. Mega Man also, I'd love to see them do the series from 1-10 then branch off to the Gameboy games and X and the other series. I would buy FF4-6 figures like it was nothing though. That's one of my goals to customize some of the characters from those games.

I agree that Weaponlord figures would rock (especially Divada, Zarak, Bane, and Jen-Tai). I know Simon Bisley did the cover art for the game, but I don't think he did the actual figure designs. I have an old issue of Gamepro magazine that has several black and white sketches of the characters, including a really cool one that got cut from the game: two armed goblins, one balanced on the other's shoulders (similar to that McFarlane Toys goblin two-pack that never got produced from one of their cancelled fantasy lines).

To piggyback on what Purity said, I'd love to see a line of figures from older video games. I'd kill for some highly articulated Streets of Rage or Final Fight figures. I think SEGA and or Capcom have a varied enough back catalogue of figures to lend to a successful line. Price would probably be an issue though.

Video game character related figure lines are something I'd love to see as subscription based. That way the obscure characters could also get their due. The Figma/Play Arts stuff is awesome, but a little too pricey for me.

I'd love for some figures of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and a line of Metroid Prime figures in 6-7 inch scale and highly articulated to come to America and other countries. The Figma figures are great, but are too much due to their exclusiveness (not sure if that's a word but whatever). Also, TP Link and Prime Samus are my favorite incarnations of the characters. I wish the Pokemon figures from D-arts would extend internationally too becuase it's a very popular franchise worldwide. I've been wanting Yu-Gi-Oh figures for a while as well and I heard NECA bought the license, so here's hoping! Finally, I'd really like to see some figures from the following games:

Ratchet and Clank (From the first 4 games)
Spyro
I really want the Portal line to extend beyond 3 figures and include more accessories
Figures from the games Fable and Runescape

There's loads more, but I've said enough already.

I've wanted to make a custom race figure forever but I don't know where id even start. heck id love a whole hanna-barbera toy line. they could do jonny quest, space ghost, thundar, mitor and the hercaloids

im only 22 years old but I watched all those old cartoons when I was little and loved them, and I bet a lot of older toy collectors would buy them since its from their childhood

I wish they made: 6 inch articulated gaming figures (they would sell like crazy). I know neca make gaming figures but they usually lack articulation and there is huge demand for 6" scale at the moment. Crash bandicoot..............

Well it would be Agent Coulson from The Avengers, some of the secondary but still cool characters from Captain America, Back to the Future figures, more Tron figures, etc. That's all I can think of right now.

Some affordable none crap Robotech toys, some nicer battletech/mechwarrior toys, even more Front mission toys that aren't 50.00 each (thanks Playarts). I'd say maybe a redo of Gobots but Hasbro owns that franchise now and worked some into Transformer lines. Maybe some new legend of zelda figures, some cyberpunk figures based on the William Gibson novels would be good, more shadowrun figures.

I happen to know of some M.A.S.K. fans that have done custom action figures and vehicles using modern action figures and vehicle toys. Honestly, any modern update on Captain Power may have to be done custom wise.

I would like to see Captain Power updated and revamped. I liked the concept and the show. New figures would be good. I would also like to see M.A.S.K. come back using the Transformers Human Alliance scale.

Toys that we did not really have that I would like would be Team America the 80s comics. Team America was created so that the toy company could recycle Evel Knievel toys without all of the prostitute slapping headlines. So it never truly had any toys. I'd love to see a revamped comic because it was a cool property that would have neat toys.

I've got a few that I can think of:

Jack Burton (Big Trouble in Little China)
Kowalski (Vanishing Point, preferably with the white Dodge Challenger vehicle)
Hilts (The Great Escape)
Zeke and Julie (Zombies Ate My Neighbors, video game)
Robert Neville (The Omega Man)
Deckard, Roy, Pris and Rachael (Blade Runner)

loving all these ideas and would love to see all of them, especially the video game stuff. I would add an actual articulated Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Valkyrie Profile line and maybe some more Mega Man Robots to the model kits. As for Legends a Hulk & Juggernaut that has the size of the Marvel Select and articulation like the older legends or icons and a Cosmic line of characters Heralds and the like, for example a Thanos that looks mean and muscular not fat or kingpin-esque. Who wouldn't love to see 80s/90s cartoon fig updates like D&D, Bionic 6, Bravestarr, Thundercats, etc with some cool articulated figs. As you can tell I like figs that are not statues, feel like there should be a difference in action figure and figure statue.

I'd like to see some affordable Phantasy Star figures going all the way back to the 8 bit days, how about figures for the final fantasy gameboy games? those would be a blank slate for folks to design due to the poor graphics back then. Star ocean figures that aren't 40.00 would be nice. Chronotrigger, secret of mana, chronocross.

I agree.

How about figures covering Final fantasy 1-6? I mean the dissidea figures were all we got and didn't cover half the games right. I'd like to see the other g1 female autobots and a quintesson. Some fallout figures would be nice covering all 4 games.

I completely agree!
