Figured you had some kinda lattice work for the hair. But seeing it was
Awesome. I look forward to more.
countpichula -wow! thanks man! this is actually a cool thread, sharing wips with each other is really a big help for us customizers. it lets us pick up an idea or two that we could use on our own current or future projects.
anyways, here's a WIP of my latest figure devil yusuke:
this is how he looked like before the new head was made, I also changed the shoes to LCBH anne o brien's.
the first head I tried is a shikamaru gashapon from naruto and the hair was from a long haired goku gashapon from dragonball. it looks ok, but I'm not contented with how he looks at that time. the hair is too short, the face is too serious so I scrapped the whole head together with the hair and thought that I'd just sculpt it so that I can achieve the look that I'm going for..
this is the new head:
the head is from a saint seiya gashapon micro bust. I've used some aluminum foil as a base armature for the hair, I covered it with a thin layer of sculpt and then added twistie wires on it and then covered it with sculpt again.
the hair is made up of all purpose epoxy. it has different colors coz I've tried using a different brand of epoxy. I started out with the pink/flesh colored and then when I ran out of epoxy, I bought the white colored one.
the base where he's sitting on is from a tarzan happy meal figure:
(I just got this pic from the net)
I cut it off to the desired height and then sculpted the tree stump. I then gave it a full repaint to finish it up.
the whole figure was then repainted (again) coz the skin tone I've made doesn't look that good. the pants were also repainted coz it got too dirty after I finished sculpting. hehehe!

thanks guys!
maraing salamat!
Work towards. I'm so glad you started a wip.
here's another one:
TOGURO 100% POWER (from yu yu hakusho anime)
he's almost 80% covered with sculpt. one of my most work intensive customs. this figure is where I practiced sculpting. I was trying out a local brand of epoxy and I just went crazy and sculpted those muscles. hehe! well, I had fun doing it as I was so excited to make this character.
the base figure is a venom unleashed 360 figure (chosen because of the figure's height)
head was from LCBH savage dragon.

please do check it out. thanks!
oh, and sorry for the crappy pics this time. I didn't have time to set up my photo tent. hehe!
