Maybe I'm off my rocker but I have a question. An open poll.
Everyone in WIPS here is doing awesome stuff. And pok is doing an awesome
Absorbing man concept. And I'm so excited about it. But it got me thinking,
I am gonna ask everyone here what they think aboutthis idea cause it may be me being stupid.

I think, after pok's rad absorbing man deal of course, it would be cool to work on a WIPS collaboration custom.
The idea is we all suggest what we think we should work on. And after all suggestions are in we vote.
Whatever is decided we then divie up ( to those that voted ) what we eat to work on?
Like , say it's fire fly? We could delegate the build out to one or two people? They would cola state and then pass it along for sculpting? Maybe the head would go to one person and arms to another? Or maybe all to one person. You get the idea
Weapons to another accessories to another? Paint to another?
Obviously I am posting this cause it is an idea open to discussion and suggestion.
If their is even any interest?
I just feel it would be fun. Espeshily the challenge. And so many here now have such awesome talents.
And obviously it would be open to anyone ( even those not postin in wips )to join!
Anyway, if anyone else thinks it would be a fun idea down the road let's talk about it.
If not...I won't lose any sleep cause some times....I'm a dreamer :]

This sh!t is on.
I'm back. And I'm starting this up, I don't care if no one is in. I am hitting flee markets this week.
And after snake eyes, and "YGT" this is project number 3! If your in hit us up here. No hard feeling for those that back out. It's been a long time. But I have time on my hands. And the fire in my hart is burning!
Not sure if it's passion, nerd rage from sengoku barasa S2 ,or vodka!? But it burns!
And this sh!t is on...
Or

Ok , looks like this is coming together ( the base) once I pick up those wrestler bodies. We will start deciding who dose what. As for deciding this I am still waiting to hear about frost giant parts. When I get the HHH fit I will measure him and look up measurements on those frosty b@sterds. I will post in the butchers shop for frost arms and legs. And also contact some toy sellers I know. If they have them I will mail them to anyone who wants to work on them. Or I wil fit it all together and ship it to the next person. Obviously this will all have to be worked out.

P.S if we end up loving this head I can get copies cast if we decide to use it and modify it for the alt head to keep it looking similar.

Sounds good to me. Imm probubly end up using a magnet or revoltech joint to attach it so we can swap in an Alt.

I'm happy to do the work on it, however, I'm not sure of the hole I'd need to make without having the base body, how's about I clean the flames up then sens it over to you count for final sculpt and paint? I don't wanna fix it all up just because of the possibility of breakage whilst fitting it.

Well, it's your call. It looks good but we won't know till it's cleaned of the flames.
I say it's go if you cool.

I found this head in my fodder boxes and thought it would make a decent head for megs, it's from a 12" rotocast human torch so I think the scale should work, a little work taking off the flames and maybe a little re sculpting of the face, what do you lot think?

Oh also has anyone thought about using marvel universe frost giant parts on this guy? I think the combination of frost giant and 12 wwe parts would give this guy proportions that are a bit more unique and less streamlined. Just a thought though.

12" is probably the easiest way to get it done. I have sanded a Spidey down in about an hours time. The muscles come through pretty well but you gotta be really careful on the thighs as they are soft and almost wax feeling. The amount of sculpt to build up the muscles I would think is more the deciding factor. I can mod Spidey's head. I've done that as well using wood carving tools and a dremel.

I'm kinda agreeing with Shapp here, I think a 12" base would be easiest to find parts for, plus there's not all that much to be done to it. I suppose if we're going for something a bit different tho the spidey would be cool, just seems a bit like making work?? Either way I'm good but I'm strongly leaning toward the max aggression guys.

Yat, I will pm you with some questions about some fodder I am looking for privately.
But I think letting you look up comic con is a great idea. Presently it seems that the items we would want
Are a bit pricey. I would buy the base to get things going if it's not over 50 bucks.
But let's let you check out the con. Maybe we could find something worth while. As for the rest of you please
Any suggestions or thoughts voice them. Otherwise we might end up using a base you don't care for.

I'm thinking that a 12 inch would be the best idea over an 18 inch just for the fact that there are a lot more 12 inch parts available. The wrestling figs are great with very minimal costume removal, I love the Venoms build, the spideys are absolutely rad but agaian I think additional parts my be hard to come by (but I think it would make an amazing zombie, hint hint count).

Thats just my thoughts =)

Anyway if we want to use that spidey, I may have one coming to me from CFC. I have to get in touch with him and work it out. Back to work!

Darththomas- Never been much of a braggard. I have lived a fairly incredible life at my age and learned that it tends to bring me more unwanted attention than anything else. I have been known to think of at least seven impossible things before breakfast!
Countpichula- I am not sure if I mispoke myself before. Although I am glad to give up parts and even some base figures for the cause, some of these are from my son's or my collection and a couple were reassembled from WIP's. If we choose one and I happen to have it not in use I would be more than glad to pitch in a base bro. I had meant to imply the intention of using these as a size reference. If we choose a base I will be more than happy to check my various bins to see if I do in fact have said base available. Just wanted to be clear before I stick the rest of my leg in my mouth.

Ah, you mean your gold award winning contest entry (come on dude, you won bragging rights, use them ) They look pretty good man but I was thinking more along the lines of shrunken heads rather than skulls, maybe a couple o skulls would look good though, thanks for the info.

Oh yeah, Darththomas- just a thought butthe skeletons I used for my contest photos were in a bag of 12 for $3 and the legs have hip joints, ribcage is removeable, for some reason the collarbones pop out. Not sure what that comes out to but they are really decent sculpts. If you chop the heads off with a lil work, they may make a cool necklace!

Seeing as I have all the figures I mentioned except the BAF and the Frost giant, I will try to take a group shot and post it up! My Venom and Bobby Lashley are currently without head though and Icons Hulk will have to be reassembled temporarily! Both my Spideys and my beast are complete though! Lots of projects goin on! LOL

I think the icons venom would be great but like it has been said, he's not that easy to come by and pretty pricy for something that's gonna get cut up. Personally I think the WWE maximum aggression base would be best, it offers all the same artic as the jakks deluxe wrestlers and they come with interchangeable hands too. Also a lot easier to come by and cheaper than venom, I'll search out a pic and post it here shortly.

Well, thats interestig? We obviously have to all talk about this more.
I don't know if we will ever get this guy. They hare hard to come by let alone
Not cheep. These at the moment are suggestions. We need more discussion and
Agreement on this subject of a base. But it's a interesting proposals.

sweetness megator sounds like fun. And if we use the icons venom I would love to make a megator head from that current venom face from the pic you posted count. I mean I just don't want to let that head go to waste since it's probably has the coolest tongue/half venomhalf eddie brock face that would work great for like a really dynamic head sculpt that will be a little exaggerated for megator but I see it being really awesome. >< other than that I'm pretty stoked, for this .

It won't let me put the link into this post but
I have an Icons Beast
and The link I'm trying to show is the picture of his feet.

did not know that about beast. Baf parts can be found, I'm not worried. I know here on the realm their are some individuals who always have a lot of baf parts. I have no idea what you mean about the retrocast hulk? was icons retrocast? I can fix things to make parts fit together if they don't want to wed...consider me an ordained minister ;]

So it seems Venom is your vote. I have a bud who has three. I may be able to get one off him for some cash. but this isn't my decision alone.
Red can you post some photos of this aggression fig? and I think the icons legends scale is were we will stay agreed? lets make this a bigg'en!
but, so far icon venom seems to be the best fit.

he has decent articulation (ab crunch toe crunch) I just noticed no waist or calf rotationas well as for arms but all of those can be fixed....BY THE POWER OF MAGNETS!
Rubbing can be easily eliminated due to his size.
his texture is very close to what we would go for (I.E. no pants shirts or belts to remove )
we can build a head or find a suitable one. I think hulks head would be good. it's a lot of features we already need and can slim it down shape it up as we need? of course we will need two heads to make the alt zombie head.
Up front, no tasks are being delegated out as of now but two,
firstly, Darth...you are in charge of that skull neckless. aside form any other task's you want. anyone with suggestions or items that
may help darth in this endeavor contact him. but I'm sure he won't start till he knows what he is building it for.
Secondly I am making that bitchin' warhammer! more details on this later.
I still wanna SEE those beast icons feet up close. so I'm anna go put the cll out for them to a guy I know.
till then any suggestions and ideas are welcome to this discussion.

BAF Giantman is way expensive bro! If we do 12" seeing as how the character is around 100ft tall, I think Venom is a good base. I've seen good Megators done with WWE Maximum Aggressiin Bobby Lashley though. With Hulk arms you'd need a rotocast torso to even out proportions. Icons Beast is covered in rubber like ML Sassy, so dremeling is not that easy plus the rubber would flex and may damage any sculpt work done. If you wana go big, 18" Spidey could be dremeled, I've done it, and resculpted. If we do 12", HML Frost Giant has the right head proportions and appearance IMO.

And that's it! It's megator! Megator by a nose!
Ahem...so we are doing megator.

I am fine I voted for spawn but ALL of these were great ideas!
So let's get to figuring out a base! I think a icon like hulks arms
Hands and feet might work? As well as head re tooled. If I can get a head
Whatever head we use I can get duplicates.
I don't know if we can get a icons beast but that would be a good torso?as well as hands and feet?
We could sculpt over the fur in parts leaving hair patches. Or dremel it down.
A quicker idea might be to take a icons venom and either receipt the feet and get a
New head, or get beast feet? I don't see any use for build a fig parts as most would require to
Much retooling? Also a baf antman/ giant man might work?
Suggestions?
