So here's what I got going right now.



After watching the new Dark Knight returns movie, I was going through my stuff trying to brainstorm the next project and it struck me. That Juggernaut head looks an awful lot like Miller's Batman.... And so it began. Been bulking him up all week. I have hands coming from across the pond (thanks D.T.) so I haven't done anything with the arms yet. Heating, cutting ect. wil only damage whatever I do anyway. The legs definately need some shaping when they are dry enough to scrape but other than that I like what I'm getting so far.

Yeah... George Nada. I actually had to look it up myself. It's not said anywhere in the movie, but everybody has to be somebody in the credits, I guess. The flannel shirt is intimidating as hell!!
I do actually have an idea rollin around in the ole noggin for 1 alien. I haven't started anything though. I'm thinkin the head from the ML zombie with some modifications..... See we shall..... Thanks for checkin in guys.

Alright alright! I'm here. I've had a good summer work wise, but this week fell off. (back to school week always does) As a result, I've got quite a few hours into a set that is too far completed to post wips of. I've also been pecking away at this guy for a while now.


A big ole OJJ no prize to whoever can figure this one out. I'll give you a hint..... "I've come here to chew bubble gum and kick a$$..... and I'm all outta bubble gum!!

Those other two projects that are closing in on done.........


Other than those, replicas of my Skaar and Madman have made their homes on the bench for months now. I just can't bring myself to revisit old stuff. It's really not as exiting as following through on a new idea and seeing where it goes, y'know?
Anyway, those ISIS agents should be breaching the headquaters of the R.E.A.L.M. within a week or so.

Nope, it is the symbol cut into the head, then molten gold is poured in(it is kept the whole series)...it theory it could be melted again and a scar would remain, that happens to a character in season 10(I think).

Yeah, I make one every once in a while and throw it out in the bay. It's not really a priority anymore. A) I've made a bunch and the challenge is somewhat gone. B) After paying the fees it's barely worth it. I'm always up for something though. As for commissions, we'll see... Time working with metal tends to be measured in hours, not minutes, and it just makes such a dam mess!

I don't know if he ever gets rid of the apophis symbol, but I was gonna do it in metalic green like the armor. Though I did think about the battery on the forehead. My thought was the head, (obviously) the staff and the armor were the Teal'c half and the whole costume would be some variation on the standard G.L. outfit. I looked through images of the corps, and I know I want white in there somewhere. Not just the green and black. maybe black pants with a green stripe down the outside of the leg. It's definately not a priority, but if you have some free time, a sketch idea would be nothing but helpful. I'd really appreciate that because like I said, I'm kind of just waiting for something to click in the old melon.

Being a concept piece you could say he uses older Guardian tech like Guy strapped to his back before. Thereby allowing you to simply strap a GL battery to the top of the staff and forgoe the symbol/ring. A battery on his forehead woulda been cool. GL by way of GL symbiote possesion. White or black paints would work with green metallic accessories. I'd be happy to do a fun sketch and send it your way to avoid design trial and error, course it wouldn't be color as I am limited currently in that area.

I mean c'mon! Who's got less fear than this guy?!? The interesting challenge for me was, can I sculpt Teal'c from the Marcus Fenix head. I have only made the armor shown in the pic. I'm thinking regular G.L. costume with said armor done in a metallic green. I am contemplating casting the staff weapon in clear to be a construct, but that's kind of a lot of work. I don't know yet. I also may need a big belt to house the G.L. symbol as there is no place on the chest where it'll be seen. The head is almost done, so now I'm just kind of staring at it waiting for some creative inspiration. That or the mother ship comes back for me and I don't have to worry about any of it.

He's cool. First time seeing this. Looking forward to seeing him done.

Is this a Goa'uld symbiote Teal'C or the synthetic drug version? I only ask because he looks like he's wearing the armor but some of the intricacies of it may be a pain to sculpt. Awesome idea so far bro!

I got SG1 Teal'C but GL was my second guess, LOL. Constructs could be interesting here.

Hey all! I thought I'd throw this one up here. I've been watching a whole lot a certain sci-fi show recently and I had a thought for an amalgam concept custom. What do you think so far?

I didn't take any earlier wips, but I'm still fine tuning the head sculpt. This is done over a Marcus Fenix head cast. Probably 3 or 4 hours in already on the head alone.

O.K. where's the amalgam you ask?.. Who shows less fear than this guy?!?

I've been just making it up as I go, so if anybody has any cool ideas for costume details, I'd love to hear em.

If you do wind up trying this with a benchgrinder, Be really really careful. I work with power tools all day every day and this is dangerous even to me. Lotta sparks, lotta steel filings flying, lotta insanely hot metal and until your done they are extremely sharp razor blades. I do stuff like this for a living and I'M missing a small chunk. Just sayin...

Oh dude, take your time! I'm not trying to rush you what you do just rocks.

seriously take your time, no rush. understood I can make the hilt, but just wanted the shape if possible, nothing to complicated. I did want to sculpt some details, making a shield also and it is going to take a long time. thanks again for everything, you rock.

Oh man, I just looked that thing up. Talk about wickedly complicated. I might be able to make the blade and an armature for the hilt , but you would have to sculpt the details. Give me a bit for the fingers to heal up.
