here we are, I'd first like to say the amazing progress work I have seen from fellow members here, has truely ignited my will to actively take part in the community and share my current job, the realms a different place from back when I started, to give a hint how long it's been, this year I'll be joey1717 anyway here's my first wip
Dutch from Predator,
well the torso anyway, I like to have my customs in some similar scale to marvel legends, so they don't feel out of place, that is why I decided to go with a tna chris sabin torso on a luke cage lower body
it will be fin by tommorrow, as you can see I had already gave the ab section a wash of custom tan mix while it was dissassembled

heres a shotgun made purely from plasticard/styrene sheet/whatever it's called

the shotgunshell thing was cut off on of those toy soldiers that come with overscaled ml scaled weapons

Love that last Sting you posted. Reminds me a lot of the 95/96 era Sting, right before the NWO and the Crow Sting. Very nicely done.

Really looking forward to seeing what facepaint you put on the stinger , I`m keeping his hair as is on mine and changing the face paint and outfit to match the look he had when tnt nitro , the dark hair but with the surfer face paint , was gonna use one of my evolution of sting figures but couldnt bring myself to do it so thanks again for the inspiration

What arms did you use for this Hogan? They are nice and bulky, but smooth with less of the veins and definition I have seen on some.

I can`t wait to see that sting man , I can picture his epicness already , I have that sting head but who`s body is that ? is it the macho man? or cm punk? the skin tone matches really well , but the wwe elite figures are a fortune in the uk around $30.00 each so need to know what guy to get lol

fo my recent project, I was aiming for a thick compact torso, however realising that all the torsos I had were either too big(exaggerated porportions) or too small, thus I decided I must create one!


it is the top half of a TNA scott steiner figure that has been placed onto a sinister six venom torso that has been shaven down to fit, of course more work is needed to make it fit flush,

after getting a steve rogers with two right legs, it forced me to fix it and his height
lower legs are now hml cyclops(whoses colour seems to match perfect with steve's suit)
ankles are hml quicksilver
boots are ml 8 ultimate captain america's
the boot pad thing is actually the steve rogers leg hollowed out and shortened and placed over the new lower legs,

btw the height is now fixed

freak out, freak out, I have returned, I switched the arms, I believe it has fixed the proportions, its banshees lower arms with movie mr fantastic hands, hopefully I can get some sealer tommorow and start painting

figs are looking great, can't wait to see more. as for your snake, try taking a more straight on pic to get a better view of the arms. if you can't match the paint on the sabertooth, either try mixing to get it or repaint the areas with that color. can't wait to see more, great job.

here is a wip of honeydew from the popular yogcast minecraft series on the youtube

and don't worry hulkamanics, dutch is 95% done, im considering whether to add holsters and pouches to his legs



something that has seemed to plague me is the quest to make a solid snake that im happy with, this is actually the fifth version I have attempted I believe, I've just realised the angle of the photo makes snakes arms look short

in the background is a mod on ml sabretooth with beta ray bill lower arms with modok hands, can't seem to match the colour however,

That's looking sweet bud, think I'll "Stick around" till this ones done. As for taking pics, I agree with CFC yours are fine. Personally I think WIPs don't need to be shot professionally or even well. I often just take a snap wherever it's stood or maybe stick some white paper behind like you did here.

the fig is looking great and that shotgun with the shells does complete it, superb. as for pics I think yours are fine, but if you want you could get some poster board. I recommend one for the floor and one for the background, just keep the fig a ways back from the background to cut down on the shadows. Or if you have a photocube/softbox that will help and give you the best pics.

thanks for the comments guys, helix I use normal gamesworkshop paints, I try to apply in thin coats, I also use army painter anti shine varnish to get rid of the glossy paint look

anyway heres a update, any tips on how you take pics of your wips?- alliteration

I got the shells from some army man toy(the sort that come with oversized weapons, I think it completes the look
