Sinestro Corps Custom Members WIP

Posted in Custom Workstation

These two guys are going to eventually become new members in my Original Sinestro Corps. The Sinestro Corpsman on the left needs more work done on his head so that he looks more unique. Any suggestions would be helpful. The Sinestro Corpsman on the right is waiting on hands and possibly more mechanical wear.

The fun with Yellow, Red and Green Lanterns...is where you imagination will lead you, BUT...(WHY IS THERE ALWAYS A BUT?)...it all depends on how much you can choose from your fodder box. The more fodder you have, the more awesome looking Lanterns you'll have. Since this was written way back in January, you might of moved on to other customs. But I still think they are fun to build even if they are not as "hot" as they use to be.

Heads-are the easiest to find. Of course, look for the strangest looking ones will help give you the ALIEN look. A little Fix-it putty can add features to give your heads that unique look too. Ball push pins can give your figure bumps. You need a Dremel tool to drill dimples into the body or head. Don't drill all the away through! Snip of part of the pin, leaving a 1/8-1/2in of pin left to be push in to the body. For heads, you might need to cut the pin down more to fit. Ball push pins make great eye balls! You can find these at Wal-mart or craft store and come in various sizes too.

Hands- much hard to find. Adding a ring on the finger(depending how much detail needs to be done.) on most, a yellow paint ring is good enough. On you larger fingers, you might need to cut a solid piece of tubing or make one from modeling putty. HINT-who ever said that they had to be "hands"? Note: Sinestro Corps Batman upper chest is larger then the chest on Low and Massh figures.

Additions- more arm, tails, wings, horns, claws, clothing, weapons...anything that helps to make your figure stand out. My biggest problem is, where do I stop before I overkill the adding of parts. if you get to that point, you already answered your question. Once again, that's where your fellow customizers come in. Sometimes, trial and error needs to come into play. This tail will look awesome for this figure. Once you place it on, you might say, "What was I thinking or I like the idea of the tail, but wrong tail for this figure". I just need to find a different tail.

Limit yourself 2-3 customs at a time. Or you get bogged down with umpteen half custom figures and none of them done. If you like these, I have more to post soon.

Yeah horns had crossed my mind. But I am not thinking of him as a super muscled devil. I am thinking of more crest looking things along his head. As for the other guy I am waiting on terminator hands and my thoughts were to maybe use some of the terminator body for this guy. However, I do not want to go all out robotic on him like Tekik and Stel look.

great, glad to have you on this part of the realm now. as for suggestions, I think doing something like a blue devil horns for the left member and some other unique traits. as for the right member you could use some of the red steppenwolf parts mixed with some cyborg or cyborg superman parts. can't wait to see them done and your fantastic stories. keep rocking them.
