Need opinions from everyone on this custom

Hey guys/gals, Just in case you don't know. Any Superman character customs that I make are not supposed to fit in with JLU. They are more designed to fit in with my own version of the STAS line that I am making. The Kenner figures from the 90's were too big & in odd dynamic poses. My version of the line fits more in with the Kenner TNBA stuff like it should IMO. Here's my dilemna with Darkseid. Here is the cartoon accurate counterpart.

If you notice Darkseid is only a little taller than Superman on the show. His height does vary a bit. But he is never much than a head taller than Superman. So if I am going cartoon accurate I would have to use these legs.

Or should I go beyond the boundaries of the cartoon & use the taller legs? After all Kenner made Darkseid even bigger than this in the 90's. But I want him to look good with my Superman that I made.

The DC who's who listed Darkseid at about 7 5" for years. Which would make his size more like the version with the longer legs, but once again not cartoon accurate. Now with this Nu52 garbage they have him at 8 9" Which IMO is ridiculous. I never really looked at Darkseid as a character that had to be " monstrous " That's more Doomsday's style. I've always looked at Darkseid as being bigger than Superman. But not towering over him by 2 feet. The thing that makes him so menacing is how cunning he is & the plans that he comes up with.

So I guess my question to you all is which version looks better as a figure. It could go either way on this because both figures look decent to me. Do I stay 100% cartoon accurate or think a bit out of the box & make him a bit bigger?

I like both looks, and making them interchangeable would be really cool.

I went with the longer legs for being in my display. But I did make it so I can swap out the legs, or the original arms easily. You can see the finished product in the figurerealm customs section

Thanx for the opinions guys, after watching more episodes it seems his size really does fluctuate more than I thought. Both could be a proper fit. I may make him so that I can swap out the legs. This way if I change my decision it will be an easy fix. I do like the taller legs because the boot design is more accurate to the show

I prefer the shorter legs both because they look better and because I prefer to be accurate to the source art. You could also cut the body at the waist and file a little off there then glue it back together if you want it even shorter.

I like the shorter legs, not for continuity reasons, just think they fit better proportionally.
