Custom WorkstationFell into this project and need some feedback and help. It started with a toy chopper from the dollar store and grew. Ill post the picks of the work I have so far and see what every one thinks, then I will ask some questions.
This is a Biker chick turned Hell assassin I made to go with the Bike in the picks. Then I made the human version of her to have a set.
Knives are forged steel and hand made, the skull head was sculpted after I cut out the old head from the hair. All holsters and sheaths
are Hand made from this and that, and the bikes are a whole other story.

Please wait...

a 12 year old 80s reject. I had to chop off most of the hair and re-sculpt it. (then I swapped heads with black widow as the head was a better fit in scale, and vise verse). added more woman like curves and removed clothes from her midsection.
They should be a cool group of figures when done.
I plan on putting a few gun scabbards on the bikes. that's how the figure started. If I was going to go that far with the bikes and guns then I should go all out and make a figure too. then I saw what people are doing with action figures and thought it looked fun. I am now on my 4th figure,( ill have picks of the rest soon
I have seen that you guys sell a lot of your work on ebay. I see they go for a good price too. with the time I will have spent on them it would take a bit of cash for it to be worth selling them because I don't work for free. If I don't keep them then I need to make it worth my time. I think with how they are coming out now, they look as good as a few that I have seen go for 60-100 bucks. Mine are not any known characters. Would people want to buy a figure that I made up? I could always use some extra cash these days.
And he's only listing the most common ways we kitbash figures
Seriously though, the project it looking great! I have a general fondness for guns, motorcycles and good looking women, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out in the final stages! If I had to throw out any ideas that might help or give you something to think about, what about finding a way to 'rack' some of the weapons on the bike? Maybe out some of the sheaths or holsters on the bike? Obviously thats all up to you, but it would give her a cool way to 'have' all her weapons without actually holding them or carrying them on her all the time.
Like you said, customizing is fun, and generally cheap way to get out creative ideas, not to mention make some money if you sold some of them.
What I have done so far....
Both figures had the torso sanded and cut down to be fully nude, then white fast dry putty was used to build back up the parts of clothing I wanted.
After it dried I carved the zipper area, her collar chest area, stomach and back. Then I used an airbrush to add the black to her top and all the flesh tone color
and the face too because I did not have paint to match the original face. The eyes did not look right out of the pack and her lips had been sprayed on her chin.
I changed her eyes to green and re-painted her lips and brow. The final should look like I did vary little unless you know how she looked to start but I think the little
things people can't tell you did are the best. But still just the torso for both figures took some time.
The first figures head I did turn into a skull using the white putty as well. It started as a blob and after it was dry I carved it into the skull. added some paint and wash and I looks good
but the pics do it no justice. still adding a few little touches.
*The guns are from marauder gun runner. I did paint and modify them a bit.
*The AK74SU had a skeleton side folding stock that I swapped out for a magpull moe stock from another gun but keeping the folder part, to look like a real custom M92 that I have.
*The AK47/ AKM is also done up to look like a gun I own.
*The grapple blast black widow guns got the optic cut off and ejection ports cut into them then painted.
*tech-9s just got paint.
*The cheytac sniper rifle got paint, I added the bolt action handle as it had none. I added sling swivels made of kanthal wire I had around. then a electrical tape sling.
*All the sharp weapons are made out of steel that I heated, hammer forged and shaped down to size and sharpened with a stone. I have made key chain knives before so this was easy. I went cheap
by using thread for the handles but I thought para-cord would look right.
Other weapons I am working on for them are
RPK , Dragunov sniper , AA12 , AR15 SBR , RPG, ECT.
Armed to the Ti**s Black widow will be a spot on name.
All the holsters and sheathes for all the weapons are made out of a base of thin cut painters tape that I built around the guns like paper mache. they have all had glue added and paint. I added belts made out of electrical tape cut to size with small gauge wire bent into buckles. some still use the adhesive of the tape to act like Velcro on a tactical cinch style strap.
The main gun belt buckle I had trouble with. But after a few tries the buckle works just like a real belt and not just a hook and can be taken off and on. NOT ONE WEAPON IS GLUED TO HER! they all come out and they all are strapped to her with out glue.
The bikes......
They are made from dollar store toy choppers, Dirt bikes, 1/24th scale model car parts, Wire, random dia. aluminum tube, and lots of putty to reshape fenders and gas tanks. I also used the putty to carve a scull knob for one bikes suicide shifter. that was hard. its soooo small!
Now Ill try to over load you with some picks. it seems that even the people that don't comment still look at the picks.
So what do you all think so far. I am sure most of you know what she looked like out of the package and the work to get her showing a little more skin. Too PC for my taste the way she came. I broke through the plastic carving out the cleavage and around her belly and back but a little filler putty did the trick. The face paint was tricky! I think Ill get better at it and I don't think it came out half bad for a first try. the skull head for the other figure was hard to do. I didn't know I could pull her hair off the head when I started and I used white body filler putty squirted into the void, let dry and then carved to get the skull. (would have loved to know about sculpey or green stuff when I started) but it worked. I used electrical tape for her belts because it looks like vinyl or leather.... First question. will this cheapen my figure to use tape? its all glued and painted but it is not molded to her or made of plastic. it is more fragile but I think it made the parts much more to scale. I see that a lot of you sell your figures on line too. Is my figure worth anything If I put it up for sale? what makes a custom figure worth selling? I have seen a ton of custom black widow figures but none quite like mine. I will post more picks when I get a little more done. the pics don't do them any justice though. I need to figure out better lighting so you can see my work better.
