Question about Nightcrawler figure

I just got a ML Nightcrawler and opened him up and immediately noticed that the comic was a lot heavier than normal. Then I realized it was really poster book. Is this worth something? Did I make a mistake and ruin a variant figure? If so, meh! I just wanted an awesome Kurt Wagner.
