RealmChick's Rockin' Body

Posted in Custom Workstation

Apparently I have a knack for painting hair flawlessly...

I LOVE the way this turned out. I mixed Twilight with Silver and got this really cool ghostly effect. It shimmers when the light reflects and looks almost etheral. I might give it a Silver bang like Rogue's if it looks good with her suit...

(By the way, Twilight is just blue with a little purple mixed in)

Ok, here's roughly what she's going to look like. I added a belt (I'll have to sculpt it on), earrings, and some trim to the boots, gloves, and collar.

I'm also looking for lady's head that has a mischievous grin to it, like in the picture, so all suggestions are welcome!

Hah, never forgotten, just put on the back-burner for a while I still can't figure out a permanent solution the to the glove-spikes though x_X

This weekend? Sure! I'll try to fit you in between my 1PM nap and my 6pm nap. :P

Doc, sorry it took so long for me to reply!!! I'm glad my custom has not been forgotten! I like the second head better for sure! It makes Realmchick look fierce instead of worried. lol....I know I haven't been around much lately - hopefully I'll get a chance to chat with everyone this weekend...

Too complicated for a simple spike xD

could u take two strips and glue it together and have a thin wire for stability inbtween the two strips. Then just shape it . As for the sides, sculpey it or use super glue to seal the sides and so that it can be painted over (like the mustache idea). hopefully it'll work..lol

Vinyl is too flimsy, it's almost like fabric :[

The foam is the same problem as the leaves, no way to thin it evenly

could you use some vinyl strips or sumthin? I haven't used em, but I think their thin....n easy to cut? and just smooth it out with sculpey...I guess?

Yeah, that's her own hair, I'm going to repaint it though to make the highlights look better. Should it stay purple or should I make it the same silvery color as the suit? I found the earrings just now too

I like the long purple hair that's on Psylocke's head, or is that Psylocke's hair? It seems to flow good with the whole figure.

Another idea for the gloves could be using some foam when it is cut the way you want it and blend it in with the sculpey.

Lol, yeah, I would do the same thing, but for one: I don't have anymore, and two: The leaves were thick so I had to sand them down with the dremel, and now that the dremel is gone...

oh cool, yea make the gloves the same way as the boots, it looks good! I didn't know that you made that, thought it was made like dat....

I tried sculpting it but it just snaps off with the slightest bump. Sculpey isn't the greatest product to use for pointy things. I made the boots with some trimmed plastic leaves and then smoothed that into the boot with Sculpey thoguh.

Hey Cap, what hair do ye think looks better? I was thinking of leaving this RC with long straight hair so I can make the second one more on model to the drawing I made :P

Yea, the first one looks more like her grandma.

However, the second one is turning out really cool! Psylocke's head is definitely the way to go.

The Elf Flesh looks like it matches her head, but I want to get the gloves done before I paint anything else. I still don't know how I'm going to make the glove-spikes

Nah, Electra's head is ugly x_X I'll have to do something about the eyebrows though (or not, who cares about eyebrows anyway? lol)

You should re-aint the psylocke's eyebrows or use an elektr head but re-paint it.

Alrighty, first I must apologize to RC for having this custom take so long. I wanted this to turn out perfectly, so I held out until I could buy good paints and the perfect head. I also wasn't pleased with how the sculpted gloves turned out the first time, so I have to redo those (also switched a hand out for Storm's). I started fiddling with the neck-line too. The paint is smoooooth. The only half decent head I had was Eowyns, but she looks too old (and sad?).

So how about my useless Psylocke's head?

Obviously she's not done yet! The ML figures just can't do justice to the body I drew (first post) so I think I'm going to have to make RC Version 2.0 with something like Witchblade-type figures. Something with less articulation to show off all those curves So anyway, how's she look so far?

What, no! She's mine all mine!...I mean yours, all yours...

I really don't like the mailman now. I was supposed to get the figs to start making RC today but he left another pink slip instead. Now I have to wait till monday, and monday I'm getting another package so I'll have to go to the post office again tuesday morning

What's the point in paying for priority mail if it still takes like 5 days to get here

I think you are probably safe on all accounts.

But who knows. Maybe Stan Lee will fall in love with RealmChick and make you a job offer!

Oh good, thanks, I just hope I didn't rip-off someone's character design by accident...next thing you know Stan Lee will release a RealmChick comic, lol...then I'd have to beat him up

I like the this version better. The lightning bolt edges look cool!

If you want to do a Realm logo, there's a good one in the banner at this link. The FR in the circle would make a good super hero logo.

I'm psychic remember?

Actually, lucky guess, and this site is mainly blue so either blue is Cap's favorite color or yours.

I like lightning idea....who told you that my favorite color is blue?

Yeah, the earrings are a must! I have an old flash figure I can snip the lightning off of

I was going to put some kind of FigureRealm symbol as the belt buckle but that's going to take some miniature sculpting, and for that I need some miniature hands I don't have, lol...

I'll try to work some bolts on her

The belt needs to be a lightning bolt...or at least the buckle. Lightning bolt earings....

Hehe... That looks pretty cool.

Yea, I think a belt would help. Instead of a striipe on the side, what about some kind of lightning bolt on her uniform representing her special power. Maybe you can work it in on the front to match the lightning style neck opening on the shirt.

I put up a quick sketch in the first post, check it out :]

I'm going to give her ice and lightning powers so I'm going to make something to put on her hands so it looks like she's shooting them, that should be fun xD also, I'll drill a hole in her back so I can use those flight stands.
