I'm in the middle of creating some new comics heroes...

Posted in Custom Workstation

Yes, I am in the middle of creating two new Spider-man characters. The names are Shadow-Spider and Dr.A. I haven't typed up the profiles on them yet. But I have them written so I will be posting them soon. I also have the figures made. The Dr.A look isn't final because it's Doctor Strange's face.

Tell about characters you have created and if you think I should post mine.

Thanks.

P.S. I am also in the middle of preparing to custom-create "all" of Spider-man's different costumes he have worn over the years and also the other spider people that haven't had a figure ML style yet.

Such as: Spidey in a tux, Spidey with a cape, amazing bag man, cosmic spidey, octo-spidey, Spider-lizard, fantastic 5 spidey, AoA Fantastic Four spidey, all of the "slingers", quick change spidey with the black mask on and, a coulpe others . Also : the Spider, Toxin, Spidercide, Tarantula, Black Tarantula, SleepWalker, Chameleon as Spidey, all of the Symbiotes, and a bunch more. I figure it will take about 2 years to do all of this because I will be doing other customs as well, but my list will be completed.

The only place I've ever seen the new FF figure is Toys R US. The problem is the guys the ever have are Reed and Johnny.

I've never seen the FF figures in stores so I just assumed they weren't out yet

That's pretty much the SpiderCarnage I want to make, just black instead of blue parts. And I wanted to have the red parts made of clear plastic so I guess the fire guy from the FF is what I need xD

Here's a picture from Sam Ruby's spider-fan site.(http://www.samruby.com) It's a little darker than the one from the tv show. Also it shows the whole body and all that.

Oh, I also found some sweet stuff to use as the like strap bags around Scarlet Spider's ankles. I just need to find something for the things on his wrists. Now I just need money for the dremel, more paint and more Spidey figures. Hahaha. Hopefully soon I'll win the lottery.

P.S. does anyone have any clue where I can find the new series of Fantastic Four figures?

Well, I don't have the body to use for Spider-Carnage, just the head and hands. I might also use the upper body and get some swivel-hinged shoulders like the other ML figures have. I'm going to make it red/black like the Toy Biz fig, not red/blue like the cartoon. Maybe metallic red, like clear red over a silver base.

You can pick up Acryl Markers at Joanns. They come in a lot of colores and cover well, you have to really wash your figures well before using them. I started out painting figures with them over a hundred years ago.

I got them at Michael's. They have a really big selection there too. But if you need a color that's in a different pack and you don't need one of the other ones, just swap it out. But I shouldn't have done that because I needed the brown I swapped the blue for.

The silver gets a little sticky, so don't handle this figure on the silver parts if you don't have to. Also it's really hard to paint inside of joints because these markers are fat tip markers. But they do work super on fabric. (the cloak for Dr.A has a killer spider on the back on it.)

P.S. Do you have a pic I could see of that Spider-Carnage now? I'm really into that character. Even if it's not finished. you can email it to me if you don't want everyone to see it. mailto:imarobot1013@hotmail.com

Man, I'm going to use markers to paint stuff from now on. I'm getting tired of my crummy paint jobs

Where did you buy your markers? The Spider-Venom has nice smooth paint

Oh, nope, never saw it, I'll go dig through the customs.

20 bucks for a dremel is pretty awesome xD

Sweet I'll have to go back and check it out when I get some money.

And yes I have seen a pic of cosmic carnage but never read up on him.

If you guys want to help out on my monster spider man custom list you are more than welcome too. I ask because I see Dr. Nightmare is making Spider-Carnage. BTW, did you see my Spider-Venom from awhile back? that was my first custom I did. I did it with paint markers. Haha.

Heh, I don't have a dremel or any apoxie (just a little sculpey), which means whenever I make a good custom it's pretty much a miracle, lol.

Wal Mart does carry dremels I got mine for $20.00. It cordless and works awesome. As far as apoxy goes I have my local Comic/ Hobby shop order it for me. Ebay is also a good place to pick it up on. I just did Cosmic Carnage I should have it up here shortly. Are you familiar with this Spidey Villian?!?!?

More experience? Haha, I've only made like, 6 customs so far. I still don't really know what I'm doing when I start one. What happens, happens with mine. But yes, that armored spidey WILL work perfectly. Where do you buy your apoxy? And where did you get your dremel? I don't know where I would find it since Wal-mart carries neither. But I will say they always have great figures there. I always find something I don't have there.

Well, the Armored Spiderman was made but it it's kinda ugly. There's one in the FigureShop here:
http://www.figurerealm.com/actionfigure ... spider-man

The arms and the legs from the knees down look great to use, maybe even the chest depending on the look you want. All you have to do is find the right hips (for more poseability) and the mainbody, then use some apoxie or something to sculpt on the armor. I was going to do it but I'd rather see someone with more experience do it first

That's one of the first ones I planned on doing. I think I'm doing Scarlet Spider and AoA Fantastic Four spidey first. Then Armored Spidey.

What Spidey do you think would be a good base figure? I'm not to sure yet.

I'm also going to post the ones I created tomorrow night. Again they are, Shadow Spider and "Dr. A" (Dr. Alexander Bernard). I'll try to think of a cooler name for him later. Story is still in progress. Later.

Oof! That's a lot of Spiders...

Tell me when you make Mary Jane. Maybe a Phoenix head with Warbird's hair would work?

How about just a Peter Parker?! Theres no ML version of him yet. Don't forget all the Spider Clones and now the ultimate Spiderverse as well

Heh, if I had all the body parts to work with then I could have all those figures done in a couple of months or less. Painting on the other hand...

Put your ideas up! That's what forums are for! I'll move this topic to the Customs section (where I have an original comic character if you havent seen her yet, heh) :]
