venom symbol help?

Yep, sculpting a spider-symbol like Venom's is pretty hard doing in one session. You'll run out of places to hold Venom without messing up the sculpey if you do it all at once @_@

But, there's no harm in drawing out a diagram of what you want to sculpt on to the figure first. And remember you don't have to do the sculpt in one clean smooth piece of sculpting. You can work slowly and in sections and sand it all down to the same height after it's done.

I usually just sculpt everything freehand because I can straighten out the edges of lines with a ruler or dentist's tools or nail files, anything straight. I just use tape to paint straight lines. But I like to cheat and use thin vinyl instead of painting

I dunno this one time at camp this guy wanted to get a venom symbol on his fig but we were like hey dude no way! and he was like yeah I can do it but we ended up not doing anything all cuz we were at camp and we had nothing to sculpt with so don't make our mistake wait till you're home and get some foam or tape as a guide so you'll get straight lines that will work pretty well or you could freehand the symbol and it will come out nice too!

Really, periods are great!
