Well I'm anticipating to begin work on my Hellsing figs so to kill the time for the base figures arival I started to make an ISS ghoul out of a movie reed (god I love that figure). I got the head done so far:
Definately the look I'm going for. There are times when he just merges with shadows and his clothing, and thats the effect iwant. Usually when he merges he turnes to bats or multi headed dogs or some other demonic type creature. The more merged the colors the better the effect for him.
Wait a minute!...Alucard?..Alucard ?..Spell it backwards and...No..NO..it spells....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...pant pant AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...pant double pant...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH get some garlic....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Oh, man, I mark out for Helsing. That's friggin' awesome. Yeah I might try my own Alucard figure. I would really like to make a Spike from Cowboy Beebop and a Suske Sagara from Full Metal Panic. But, yeah, Alucard didn't even cross my mind, that would be aweome to make.

For Apoxie Sculpt, Be sure you are mixing the right amounts and that you let it sit for about 25 minutes before use.
That might be what I'm doing. I've got the right mix but I start working as soon as I get it mixed. I'm used to the GS which was ready as soon as you mix it. I'll let it sit for now on.
BREAKING BENJAMIN..er NEWS >>>>>> Early this morning in a feeble attempt to BOIL sculpy, Doctor Nightmare was severely disfigured, when a chemical reaction occured. When This News team attempted to talk to the good Doctor he merely wimpered ...and quickly ran to the roof of his building with a nearby "Lady of the Night" and started to sing songs from Andrew LLoyd Webbers "Phantom of the Opera" That is all we have to report at this time. More at 10:00.
No Incognito planned yet but I do want to make a Paladin Alexander Anderson!
I just got Aves apoxey sculpt white. This is the first time I used an aves product. I like the results after the product is hardened but working with seems at more difficult than working with the green stuff. The Aves seems to ahve a crumbly texture while the GS was more rubber like and could stretch. The aves however was a much better deal as that I have gotten a 1lb tub for for onlt $12.00 and was paying $7.00 for 2oz for GS.
Oh and yea Shins, I can't wait to see your Alucard! That's gon' be awesome! I really liked the series, and when your done, how about an Incognito figure for Alucard??? Just a suggestion, I'd like to see that as well...^_^
Hey Doc, have you tried boiling Sculpey? It works and I haven't had any prblems with that method. All I do is let the water boil and when it's boiling, I put the heat down REALLY low so it's just enough to keep the water from cooling down, like "simmering" the water. Making sure that the water isn't bubbling. I hope this works for you as well, cuz it's been working for me. ^_^
I'm going to buy a bunch of Reeds for 4 bucks each at TRU and start making the cast from the Rocky Horror Picture show
Looks good but mind if I lend a tip, Mr Graphic Artist? No? Good. :]
If you're sculping something "complex" it's best to do it in steps. That helmet is pretty simple to make but you can make it even simpler!
First, pretend like that ridge along his forehead doesn't exsist, and sculpt the basic helmet only. Smooth it out, sharpen the edges with a nail-pick, or a ruler, or whatever you want, and harden it. Once that's done go back and sculpt the ridge on the helm. Smooth, straighten, harden!
Of course, you might already do this and these are just crude preliminary pictures and I'm being a jackass...either way, I'm thirsty and I'm all out of iced tea
The coat came out great, I need to learn to sculpt hair :P
..does this guy have a moustache?
Okay the picture blurry but its 2am

The boiling seemed to work but it left wierd white chaky residue on some parts. @_@ Good thing is it looks like I can paint over it.

What sculpey do you have? I need some of yours if it hardens over time
