VariablePenguin WIP - ROM p8, Two Face p9, Quantum Leap p9

Posted in Custom Workstation

I thought I'd just copy people.

Here's the Planet Hulk mod I'm working on.

removed skirt, turned into sandals. Added some blood spatter to mace.

BLOODY MACE!!!

I may have gone overboard on the gore here, let me know. I dipped a wadded paper towel in clear red and then smacked it with the mace. With that 80% dry, I did a brown wash. Finnally, I used some SFX makeup called "Blood Gore" for the "wet" parts and for chunks. Oh, and I added a little leather ring on the handle

and his finished sandals

Skirt without any paint work

Complete!

Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap

Wow... It's been a long time since I've posted a WIP. But this one did take forever to do. I had to sew his Fermi suit and make my own pattern to do so. Then I had to sew him into the suit because I sewed up the back too soon. This is by far he hardest thing I have ever sewn. These are just some WIP pictures. I will post the final when I get approval from the commissioner.

Thanks Monk - I know you got my back, brother

And that would be so cool of you if you can do that - and I'd reciprocate with some cool stuff in return

Umm
If you can tell me how much the Icon Punishers are in your target store and how many they have left and if they got the Icon Wolverines -
I could send you some $$$ to get them for me and even some ones for yourself

Downside is - that'll be friggin June....and they'll probably be gone before then

Shame there isnt a lay away scheme where you can put something aside and pay it up

But judging from the pretty cool articulated bodies on those superman Clark figs (and I wouldn't mind a superman or two to torture) - My search for high articulation suited figures could be over

If Variable or anyone else could get some for me too that'd be hella cool

I'm going to add them to my wants list

Clark is VERY common. Every Target in America has at least 10 of those 2-packs.

what figure base is that? I had to hand sculpt those boot tops for my custom...also...I only charged $30 for that captain marvel custom I did...is that too cheap? I figured that would've been probably what I would've got for it on ebay anyways. my shiznit always sells low..lmao! hell, I get 20bucks I'm happy...I just like doing them anyways...I know I'm not gonna get rich doing it, but if one of mines ever goes for over $100 I will crap and fall back in it! that bill foster giant man on there now is awesome. almost $400, mines went for $52...lmao.

Good choice on that wrestler fig for a barbarian - I've looked at that one a few times trying to decide if he is usable for something. He's one of the few that doesn't have a totally goofy look on his face. The hair looks cool - did you pull it off another figure? I agree with Shin, it needs to come down a bit but not too much more.

He is finished if you read the message at the top of this page you'll see. He is in the contest now too so I didn't post the pictures as to not block Cap's hidden picture idea. And since I didn't take ANY WIP pictures and post them of the painting process, nobody knows what he really looks like.

Yeah, he's some wrestler. I dunno there names, I don't even look at it. He had a really... homosexual looking braid of hair hanging down infront of his ear and a tatoo of a rose on around his belly button.

EDIT: his name is Kip James. Just looked it up on the ToyBiz site.

Barbarian
I'm just posting a teaser pic for feedback:

Does this look alright? The hair is going to be black in the end, but does it suit this head or do I need to grind his head down a little more to make it fit differently?

I bought some fur at Hobby Lobby to use as a cape and loin piece for Odin and WARNING! Do not cut that stuff and move it around too muc in an inclosed room. I forgot that cutting it also meant cutting the hair so I have hair all over my room and me.

How dare you people make fun of the short-lived glam-metal bands that popped up all over the Sunset Strip. How dare you. You're all jealous of that sweet sweet frizzy hair and shiny raspberry lip-gloss.

Sadly, you have to make your own. But I think you can find a 12" Thor at most stores and 6" Hercules, but he's only half-god.

You have poor Odin painting your ninja contest figure?..Turn around and tell him to stop..he an old man...Whats wrong with you?

VP is using elderly Asgardian Gods in his slave labor customizing factory.

Where would one find elderly gods to work in ones factory, if one should so happen to have a factory in need of divine beings to work it? Just curious.

Cyclops to Beast: "Um Hank, would you mind moving to the other end of the dinner table? I'm trying to eat here."

Wolverine standing too close to the Beast: "Cripes, my eyes are watering and my sinuses are on fire!"

Cyclops: "Hank?...Did you get a perm?"

Beast : "No!..Why?

Cyclops : "I was just wondering , cause your hair is so curly now"

Beast : "Real funny RUBY!...Why don't you take a long walk off a short dock?"

Cyclops : "And you smell kinda like Alphaflights locker room"

Beast : "Thats it old bean..Your Fricken Dead!!"

Cyclops : Nya Nya Nya...Feets don't fail me now"

Odin! Odin! Odin! We want Odin!

Did ya know there was a cheesy LA Metal band called Odin. They were featured in the Decline Of Western Civilization Part II. I think Dr Nightmare used to play lead bass for them.

Sorry, don't mean to be pushy... unfortunately my customizing has taken a back seat to the roadblocks of reality so I'm in no position to to say "what's taking so fricking long?"

Now finish Odin! Odin! Odin!
