ok I think im done with the figure itself, now I just need to make the lightsaber and the cloak. tell me what you think of DM now... IE his stomach compared to the accual picture.
Man you make really nice Star Wars figures!
Good idea with the magnet in Kit Fisto's hand!
Star Wars is so awesome, I've been a fan ever since I was a little kid. I just finished the Dark Nest trilogy and I'm now ready to read Legacy of the Force! After reading Star Wars books half my life, I'm finally soon going to be up to date
here I got my camera back so heres some smaller pics.... and a picture of my new finished truly super articulated clone trooper... it now has ball socket hips
also shown is kits hand which has a magnet in it to hold his lightsaber
yea its digital but odly enough you can not change the resolution. Iv gone throught the whole cameral I don't know how many times and Iv also read the book 2 times... ohh well it was only a $20 camera thats prolly why. and yes those are clips from my girlfriends socks with the tip of a sword, peice of sinisters cape and a plastic rod from the halo that was on a goku figure.
heres a new picture of DM and then some others im working on. you got kit fisto, asajj ventress, and boba fett.. the pic is huge (I used my moms camera this time.)
what im thinking is im prolly gonna sculpt something outta wax and then cast in acrylic. as for the cape I was thinking about just sewing something togeather
A cloak from a Lord of the Rings figure would probably work well, at least one with a hood. I don't know about the stomach though. If you wanted to be accurate to the story I can see resculpting but I personally think he looks better with the chest the way it is now, he looks more like a sleek cybrog instead of all robot and he did get cut across the waist(don't know why they raised the metal leg bracket up so high in the story) Guess its matter of opinon though. Don't matter which way ya go though, this guys gonna turn out SWEET!!! Nice start
the lower half of the legs are from ultron and the rest of the figure is a robot spiderman that I had. the face is made from acrylic, the horns are from a lion king playset that had a rib cage. as for tiin... I was definatly going to make the helmet but I am still debating on weather it will come off or not. I will prolly atempt to make it removable and if it works it works if it doesn't then the helmet stays on all the time
I think the legs look pretty good the way they are, what are they from? The Saesee Tiin sounds promising, are you planning to make the helmet removeable or just attactched to the hea?(or do you plan to make it at all?)
new lightsaber and cloak I still have A lot of work to do on him, Im thinking about re tooling the feet and then I still have the stomach to sculpt and then the arms and Im 2 horns short on the back of the head. theres some other starwars customs im working on such as asajj ventress, boba fett, and saesee tiin in his clone armor.
